Selection of candidates will be made truly on the basis of merit. The admission process of Vidyasagar University for various levels is explained below:
For UG Admission
Admission in UG Programme is mainly based on the result of higher secondary (10+2). Each college made up their own selection criteria for granting admission in the undergraduate programme, but all are generally based on higher secondary results.
For PG Admission
Selection of Postgraduate courses is mainly based on the result of graduation (10+2+3) level results.
For MPhil/Ph.D. admission
For research level courses, the candidates have to appear in the qualifying exam (RET) followed by an interview. Candidate needs to obtain a minimum of 55% marks in their post-graduate level examination. If the candidates pass the all India examination like GATE, NET, SET then their admission in Ph.D. is only based on the interview.
