About the university
Founded in the year 2005, The Uttarakhand Technical University (UTU) is the only affiliated university of Uttarakhand State that runs numerous private as well as government institutions. It was launched by Government of Uttarakhand under the Uttarakhand Technical University Act 2005. There are 118 affiliated and three ingredient colleges with more than 50,000 student strength in several courses. The University in its own campus is operating M.Tech and M.Pharma courses in various disciplines.

- Bachelor of Education- 1 year
Candidate should have done Graduation and a bachelor’s degree through the 10+2+3 pattern or an equivalent qualification with at least of 50% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA of any of the Universities integrated by an act of the central or state government in India. 45% marks for candidates belonging to SC/ST categories.
- Post Graduate Diploma in Management- two years
As similar to Bachelor of education
- Bachelor of Business Administration- three years
Applicants must be passed High School Senior Secondary exam or 10+2 by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) or any equivalent examination hosted by any State Board or Equivalent with minimum of 50% Aggregate marks with English as an important subject. 45% marks for candidates belonging to reserve categories.
- Master of Business Administration- two years
As similar to Bachelor of education
- Bachelor of Hotel Management- three years (2 courses)
Candidate must be cleared 10+2 or equivalent exam
- Bachelor of Technology- four years (21 courses)
Candidate must be passed (10+2) or Equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or Biotechnology, Language and any other subject with at least of 45% marks. 40% marks for all reserved category students.
- Master of Technology- two years (9 courses)
Candidate should have done graduation and a bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering programme through the 10+2+4 pattern or an equivalent qualification with at least of 55% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA of any of the Universities integrated by an act of the central or state government in India. 50% marks for candidates belonging to SC/ST categories.
- Bachelor of Pharmacy- four years
As similar to Bachelor of Business Administration
- Master of Pharmacy- two years (3 courses)
Applicants must have done graduation and a bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy discipline from any of the Universities integrated by an act of the central or state government in India. There is relaxation of 5% aggregate marks for SC/ST candidates.

UTU Admission Details
The admission of applicants into various above discussed Uttarakhand Technical University affiliated courses is done on the basis of a State common Entrance test normally conducted by the authorized authority in the month of June. The UTU admission notification for the same is released in all the main state dailies. Entrance Examination forms is generally available in the month of April.
