UPESEAT eligibility criteria include information related to academic qualification and age limit required for appearing in the entrance test. This exam is conducted every year for admission to B.Tech programme offered at University of Petroleum & Energy Studies. Candidates must check below-mentioned criteria if they want to appear in the test as after fulfilling the same only they can apply for the exam.
Age Criteria: Candidates who are born on or after October 1, 2000 are permitted to apply for UPESEAT.

Eligibility for UPESEAT Aspirants
The minimum marks obtained by applicants should be 50% in secondary and senior secondary level and 50% marks in aggregate in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry in class 12th.
Eligibility for Board Merit Aspirants
The minimum marks obtained by applicants should be 50% in Secondary and Senior secondary level exam and 50% marks in aggregate in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry in class 12th exam.
Eligibility for JEE Main Aspirants
- Candidates should have JEE Main score. JEE Main cutoff will be released after announcement of its result.
- The minimum marks acquired by candidates should be 50% in Senior secondary and 50% marks in aggregate in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
20% of the total seats will be filled based on JEE Main merit/Board merit whereas rest of the seats through UPESEAT. In case seats are vacant after selection based on JEE Main and board merit then the same will be filled through UPESEAT score.
Admission Procedure
Candidates having UPESEAT 2024/JEE Main score, they will have to undergone through a centralized counselling process. They need to attend the counselling procedure based on their merit in the test.
