UPES Admission 2022 (UPESEAT ): The candidates seeking admission in the engineering and pharmacy courses offered by the University of Petroleum & Energy Studies can appear for the admission test UPESEAT. UPESEAT Eligibility Criteria 2022

The candidates need to fulfill the eligibility criteria mentioned below in order to be eligible for UPESEAT 2022:

1. For B.Tech degree course:

• The candidates need to clear their class 10th and 12th exam from a recognized board.
• A minimum aggregate of 50% marks overall in class 10th and 12th and in aggregate of Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics in class 12th is also mandatory.
• Only candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 1, 2000 are eligible to apply for admission.

Exemption from UPESEAT 2022:

• Candidates who have qualified the JEE Main exam are exempted from appearing in the UPESEAT 2022.
• Those who have passed their class 10th and 12th exam with not less than 80% marks overall and in aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in class 12th are exempted as well.

2. For B.Tech LLB degree course:

• Those who have passed their class 10th and 12th exam from a recognized board are eligible.
• A minimum aggregate of 50% marks overall in class 10th and 12th and in aggregate of Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics in class 12th is also mandatory.
• Only candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 1, 2000 are eligible to apply for admission.

Exemption from UPESEAT 2022:

• The  candidates who qualify the JEE Main or CLAT/ LSAT and obtain excellent board merit might be exempted from UPESEAT.

3. For B.Pharma degree course:

• Applicants should have passed their class 10th and 12th exam from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Mathematics and English as major subjects.
• Only candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 1, 2000 are eligible to apply for admission.

Exemption from UPESEAT 2022:

• The applicants with at least 75% marks overall at class 10th and 12th and 75% marks in aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in class 12th are exempted from UPESEAT.
• Those with at least 50% marks overall at class 10th and 12th and 50% marks in aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in class 12th and a minimum score of 40 percentile in JEE or NEET are exempted too.

UPESEAT 2022 Application Form

The application form for UPESEAT 2022 will be released in online mode tentatively in the month of October 2021. Candidates can obtain the application from by visiting the official website of the university www.upes.ac.in.

• To fill the application form, the candidates will have to provide their basic personal details, academic details, contact details, etc.
• Photograph and signature of the candidates in scanned format should also be uploaded into the application form.
• After providing all the details as asked in the application form, the candidates can submit it online with the specified amount of application fee.
• Care should be taken to provide all the information correctly as any error in the application form will make it liable for rejection.

• Upon successful submission of the application form, the candidates should take its printout and keep it safe for future reference.

Application fee:

• The application fee for Indian national candidates will be Rs. 1350/- and USD 75 for foreign national candidates.
• Online mode will be provided for submitting the application fee and payment can be done using debit card/ credit card/ net banking.

UPESEAT Exam Pattern 2022

The exam pattern for UPESEAT 2022 is provided below:

• Mode of exam: Online mode

• Number of questions: 200 questions
• Type of questions: Objective type questions
• Total marks: 200 marks
• Marking scheme: For every right answer 1 mark will be awarded to the candidates.

Slot Booking

• Candidates who fill and submit their application form can then proceed with the booking of slot.
• Using their application details, the candidates will be able to book the slot for appearing in the exam.
• Choice for entrance test date and timing should be selected at the time of slot booking.
• Once the slot is booked, the details of entrance exam schedule will be displayed based on the availability.
• The candidates will then have to appear for the entrance exam as per the slot allotted to them.

Result 

• The authorities will announce the UPESEAT 2022 exam result online tentatively in the month of May 2022.
• Candidates can check their result by visiting the official website of the university.
• A merit list will be drawn on the basis of marks scored by the candidates in the entrance exam.
• Further process of admission will be carried out as per the names of the candidates in the merit list.

UPESEAT 2022 Counseling

• Candidates will be invited to attend the counseling as per the schedule decided by the authorities & intimated via university website.
• The applicants reporting for counseling should carry with them all their documents in original and in photocopy.
• Documents and eligibility of the candidates will be verified after which they will be granted final admission.
• Those who are granted final admission should complete the rest formalities like payment of fees, submission of documents, etc.

FAQs 

Question 1: Do I need to send hard copy of application form or any other document to the university?

Answer: No. There is absolutely no need to send any hard copy of application form or any document to the university as the application process is completely online.

Question 2: In case I am unable to book my slot in time what will happen?

Answer: If this happens that due to some reasons you are not able to book your exam slot in time, the university will do it on your behalf. Once allotted no change in the slot will be possible.

Question 3: What if I forget to carry any important document at the time of counseling?

Answer: Candidate who fail to produce their original documents at the time of counseling, their candidature will get cancelled and no request in this regard will be entertained.

Question 4: I haven’t cleared my class 12th exam yet. Can I still apply?

Answer: Yes. The candidates who have not their class 12th exam yet but will clear the exam with the specified percentage of marks before the starting of the counseling round can apply.

Question 5: Is true that the university offers scholarship program to the candidates selected for admission?

Answer: Yes, it’s true. Selected candidates who have obtained a minimum of 75% marks in their 10th and 12th exam can apply for scholarship. 50% of the tuition fee will be waived for 1st semester on 10% seats in each program.
