Admission to M.Tech degree programme offered by the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) is done on the basis of GD/ PI conducted by the university itself. The eligibility criteria to appear for UPES MEET 2023 in terms of nationality and qualification are discussed below:

Nationality:

• Candidates of Indian as well as foreign nationality are eligible for admission.

Qualification:

• M.Tech Chemical Engineering with specialization in Process Design Engineering: B.Tech/ BE in Chemical Engineering/ Chemical Technology/ Petro Chemical Engineering/ Petroleum Engineering with minimum 60% marks is required.
• M.Tech Computer Science & Engineering: Candidates with B.Tech/ BE in IT/ CSE/ EEE/ ECE/ Instrumentation & Control with minimum 60% marks are eligible.
• M.Tech Energy Systems: A B.Tech/ BE degree in Electrical/ Electronics/ EEE/ Mechanical/ Chemical/ Instrumentation & Control Engineering with minimum 60% marks is required.
• M.Tech Pipeline Engineering: Those with B.Tech/ BE in Mechanical/ Chemical/ Civil/ Petroleum/ Engineering with minimum 60% marks can apply.
• M.Tech Automation & Robotics Engineering: B.Tech/ BE in Electronics/ EEE/ Mechanical/ Computer Science & Engineering/ Electrical/ Instrumentation & Control Engineering with minimum 60% marks is required.
• M.Tech Computational Fluid Dynamics: The candidates should hold B.Tech/ BE degree in Aerospace/ Aeronautical/ Mechanical/ Civil/ Chemical with minimum 60% marks.
• M.Tech Health, Safety & Environment with specialization in Disaster Management: A pass in B.Tech/ BE in Chemical/ Mechanical/ Electrical/ Civil/ Industrial Safety/ Petroleum Engineering/ Geo- Science Engineering/ Fire Safety Engineering/ Electronics/ Geo Informatics with minimum 60% marks is required.
• M.Tech Renewable Energy Engineering: Applicants should have done B.Tech/ BE in Electrical/ Electronics/ EEE/ Mechanical/ Chemical/ Instrumentation & Control Engineering with minimum 60% marks.
• M.Tech Rotating Equipment: A B.Tech/ BE degree with specialization in Mechanical/ Production & Industrial/ Mechatronics/ Industrial Automation with minimum 60% marks is required.
• M.Tech Structural Engineering: Applicants with B.Tech/ BE in Civil Engineering with minimum 60% marks can apply.
• M.Tech Health, Safety & Environment Engineering: B.Tech/ BE in Chemical/ Mechanical/ Electrical/ Civil/ Industrial Safety/ Petroleum Engineering/ Geo-Science Engineering/ Fire Safety Engineering/ Electronics/ Geo Informatics with minimum 60% marks is required.
• M.Tech Petroleum Engineering: The candidates should have B.Tech/ BE in Petroleum/ Gas Engineering/ Petroleum Refining/ Petrochemical Engineering/ Geo Science/ Mechanical/ Chemical or M.Sc. in Geology with minimum 60% marks.

Note: In addition to this, a pass in class 10th and 12th exam with a minimum aggregate of 60% is also required.

UPES MEET 2023 Application Form

The application form for UPES MEET 2023 will be released in online mode on the official website of the university www.upes.ac.in. Those who fulfill the eligibility criteria prescribed above can proceed to fill their application forms.

• Candidates will have to provide their basic personal and educational details such as name, date of birth, category, gender, qualifying exam passing year, marks obtained, etc into the application form.
• Photograph and signature of the candidates should also be uploaded into the application form in the scanned format.
• Once all the details are provided into the application form, it can be submitted by the candidates along with the prescribed application fee.
• Care should be taken to provide only true and correct details into the application form or else it can get rejected.
• Upon successful submission of the application form, the candidates should take its printout and keep it with them in case of future reference.
• The candidates are suggested not to send the copy of application form or any other document to the university.

Application fee:

• The application fee will be Rs. 1850/- for Indian national candidates and USD 75 for foreign national candidates.
• Payment of application fee can be done through online mode using credit card/ debit card or the net banking facility.

UPES MEET 2023 Interview

• Applications received by the candidates will be scrutinized and they will be invited to take part in the GD/ PI round.
• The university will communicate the details regarding the interview round from its official website.
• Candidates shortlisted for the interview round must report as per the schedule communicated to them.
• The candidates can also contact the Coordinator to get the details of the interview process.

UPES MEET 2023 Result

• The result of the personal interview round will be made available on the official website of the university.
• Candidates need to enter their application number and date of birth in order to see their result.
• Those who clear the interview round will be considered for the admission round as per their merit.
• Merit list will be prepared by the authorities on the basis of performance of the candidates in the GD/ PI round.

UPES MEET 2023 Admission

• Candidates who clear the personal interview round will be considered for the final selection process.
• Shortlisted candidates need to report to the university with their documents in original and photocopy.
• Documents as well as eligibility of the candidates will be verified and they will be asked for their choice for course specialization.
• Admission will then be granted to the candidates upon successful document verification as per their choice.
• Candidates who fail to complete the admission formalities in the prescribed time period will lose their candidature.
