Lucknow University will be conducting UP CPAT 2023 entrance examination for admission in UG programs such as BUMS, BAMS, and BHMS offered by the colleges in the state of Uttar Pradesh. Interested candidates can apply for the entrance test by filling the online application form. The authority will likely release the form in the 2nd week of September 2023. Candidates should make sure to go through the eligibility conditions set by the authority before proceeding to the application form.
Admission in the said course will solely be granted on the basis of the performance of the candidates in the UP CPAT 2023 examination. The exam will be conducted in pen and paper-based mode where an OMR answer sheet will be provided to the candidates to mark the answer. The total duration of the exam will be 3 hours.

Syllabus

Here are some important preparation tips for the candidates with the help of which they can score better marks in the exam-
- Prepare a practical schedule for daily studies based on the time you can devote to each subject.
- Make short notes for important formulas and shortcuts. These will also reduce your time in revision.
- Go through the last 5 years papers and try to solve them on a regular basis. You can also practice the mock test with the help of the internet.
- Keep your mobile phone and other gadgets away when you’re studying.
- Maintain consistency in studies by adhering to the deadlines/goals you’ve decided to accomplish each day.
- Do not study a fresh topic on the day of the exam. Rather revise whatever you’ve studied.
Application form UP CPAT 2023
The application form for UP CPAT examination will only be available via online mode. No printed application form will be distributed by the authority. Candidates should keep their documents, scanned copy of the photograph and signature ready while filling the form. They need to register for the exam with the help of email id and phone number. After successful registration, they need to login into the official website and fill the application form.
The details in the online form will consist of the following- name, date of birth, gender, category, religion, address, father’s name, and educational qualification, among others. These details should be filled with extreme care as no correction window will be provided to edit the information in the form once it is submitted successfully. Incomplete application or those received without the application fee will be rejected by the authority. Candidates should submit the form on or before the due date specified to avoid last-minute technical errors.
Application fee: Candidates from general and OBC category need to pay Rs. 2000/- as the application fee for the exam. SC/ST candidates must pay Rs. 1000/- for the same. The payment can be done with the online through credit card, debit card and net banking. Fee once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances.
Eligibility Criteria of UP CPAT exam
Candidates can check their eligibility status for UP CPAT exam through the criteria given below-
Domicile: Candidates should be a domicile of Uttar Pradesh and a permanent resident of UP.
Age limit: The age of the candidates should fall between 17 years old and 25 years old as on 31st December 2020. Reserved category candidates can claim relaxation age as per the rules.
Educational qualification
- Applicants who have completed class 10th / high school and class 12th / intermediate from UP need not necessarily produce the domicile certificate and can apply for the exam.
- Those who have passed high school or intermediate from UP are eligible to appear for the exam.
- The candidates who have passed their class 12th or equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Biotechnology with minimum 50% marks (40% for SC/ ST/ OBC candidates) in aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Biotechnology can apply.
- For admission into BUMS course, a pass in Urdu subject at class 10th or equivalent exam is mandatory.
Admit card
- Candidates can download the admit card for UP CPAT 2023 exam from the official website of the University.
- No admit card will be sent to the candidates by post or any other mode except the online one.
- Applicants need to keep the printout copy of the hall ticket and retain it for future reference.
- It is mandatory for the candidates to bring the admit card to the exam hall failing which they won’t be allowed to take the test.
- The admit card should not be damaged or torn which can render it invalid.
Result and counselling
- The result of UP CPAT 2023 will be announced on the official website of the university.
- Based on the marks scored by the candidates in the entrance exam, the authority will prepare a merit list to shortlist the candidates for admission.
- Selected candidates (whose name appears in the merit list) will be invited to attend the counselling process.
- Candidates need to indicate their preference for the course and college during the counselling.
- They will also undergo the document verification phase where their original documents shall be verified.
- On successful completion of the counselling, candidates will be allocated a seat based on their merit rank, number of seat available and choice opted during the counselling.
- Once a candidate accepts the seat allotment letter, he/she needs to report to the allotted college to finish the admission related formalities.
