University of Calicut M.Ed Admission 2022: Applications will be invited by University of Calicut for admission to 2- year M.Ed course for the academic year 2022-23 offered at Government Colleges/Aided Colleges/ Unaided Colleges/ University Teacher Education Centres affiliated to the University of Calicut. University of Calicut M.Ed Admission 2022 Important dates (Tentative)

Eligibility Criteria for University of Calicut M.Ed Admission 2022

Candidates seeking admission to M.Ed programme at the University of Calicut must satisfy prescribed eligibility Criteria before applying for admission.

Applicants seeking admission to the M.Ed courses will be needed to have passed any of the following courses with a minimum of 50% marks or an equivalent grade.

• B.Ed degree of 1 or 2 years duration recognized by University of Calicut
• Four years of integrated teacher education degree course (B.Sc.Ed/ B.El.Ed/ B.A.Ed) recognized by the University of Calicut
• B.Ed / D.El.Ed with a bachelors degree (B.Sc/ B.A/B.Com, etc.) recognized by the University of Calicut.
• (In case of integrated degree courses- B.Sc.Ed/ B.A.Ed, aggregate marks/grade in Education papers will be considered separately)

Reservation 

Reservation benefits would be offered to Differently Abled candidates and those who belong to SC/ST/Muslim/OBH/LC, SIUC & BPL (Forward Caste) categories according to the reserved guidelines provided by Govt. of Kerala and adopted by the University of Calicut. University of Calicut M.Ed Admission 2022 Application form: How to apply?

Application Form and Prospectus can be downloaded from the university website i.e. www.universityofcalicut.info. Candidates should fill up the application form very carefully after reading the important guidelines in the prospectus.

Application form for admission to M.Ed programme in affiliated Colleges and University Teacher Education Centres can be submitted to the concerned institution by depositing the required application fee.

Candidates can also obtain the application form from the colleges concerned.

Selection mode and Weightage of Marks

The selection of applicants will be done on the basis of the rank list which is prepared through total marks obtained in the qualifying Examination (calculated out of 1000). An additional weightage will be given to the applicants with Post Graduate Degree (M.Sc/ MA/M.Com) in the respective area of specialization at B.Ed while making rank list.

University of Calicut will follow its terms and conditions for selection and admission to Merit/Management quota seats. The decision taken by university will be final in this regards. Candidates are to be selected on the basis of criteria drawn below in the post:

• The marks acquired by candidates in the qualifying exam (marks would be calculated out of 100).
• Candidates having Post Graduate degree such as MA/M.Sc/M.Com will be offered additional weightage. The additional weightage includes 15 marks for candidates having first class with distinction, 10 marks for those having first class, 5 marks for those having second class and 3 marks for those having a pass in the PG examination. Candidates having B.Ed degree from University of Calicut will get 15 marks weightage.
• Weightage of 5 marks for every year of approved teaching experience in Govt./ Aided / Recognized institutions such as Elementary Teacher Training Institute or in an Elementary/ Secondary/ Senior Secondary School subject to a maximum of 25 marks. In order to avail the benefits candidates are required to produce an Experience Certificate in Form IV duly signed by the Headmaster/ Principal.

Admissions Process

University is liable to forward the rank list of registered candidates to the Department/Colleges/University Centres. Colleges/Departments/University Centres may be allowed to organize admission procedure according to the schedule offered by the University. Here are the documents you need to keep while attending the admission process:

• Hard copy of online application form;
• S.L.C/Equivalent Certificate for Name and Age
• Ed/ Other Qualifying Examination Mark sheets and required Certificate for educational qualification
• G. Mark sheets and Certificate to prove weightage (if any)
• BPL Certificate issued for Forward Caste (issued by Local Self Govt.)
• Service Certificate in Form IV (duly signed by respective authority) to prove service weightage (if any)
• Caste certificate for SC/ST category candidates
• Disability Certificate for Physically / Visually Challenged students
• Non-Creamy Layer Certificate / Community Certificate for eligible candidates
