Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam for Design 2021 or UCEED 2021 will be conducted by IIT Bombay for selecting the candidates for admission to Bachelor of Design (B. Des.) programme. The selected candidates will get admission to prestigious colleges such as IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, and IIITDM Jabalpur. The students who will pass the 10+2 exam in 2020 or 2021 are eligible for applying to UCEED 2021. It is a national level exam to be organized at around 24 cities across India.
The candidate looking for admission through UCEED exam needs to fill and submit the application form in online mode. The exam will be conducted in online mode and duration of exam will be 3 hours.

UCEED 2021 Important Highlights
The candidates looking to appear for UCEED exam should check the important highlights as given below:
- The candidate going to pass class 12th in the year 2020 or 2021 from any stream can apply for UCEED 2021 exam.
- The application form will be available in online mode only.
- Along with the exam centers in India, the exam will also be held at the Dubai exam center as well.
- The UCEED 2021 score will be valid for the UCEED 2021-22 academic session only.
- A candidate can attempt the UCEED exam for a maximum of 2 times that too in consecutive years.
- The candidate attempted the UCEED exam in the year 2021 is not eligible for this exam.

UCEED 2021 Eligibility Criteria
The candidates should check the eligibility criteria carefully before submitting the application form.
Age Limit
- The candidate must have born on or after 1st October 1996 (1st October 1991 for SC, ST and PwD candidates)
Number of Attempts
- A candidate can attempt this exam only for 2 times that too in consecutive years.
Educational Qualification
- The candidate must pass the 10+2 exam with any stream (Arts, commerce, science, humanities) in the year 2020 or 2021.
UCEED Application Form 2021
- In order to apply for the UCEED 2021 exam, the candidates need to register themselves online through the official portal i.e. www.uceed.iitb.ac.in.
- For registration, every candidate is required to provide some basic details such as name, email id, phone number, educational qualification etc.
- Apart from the details, the candidates also need to upload the scanned images of passport size photograph and signature.
- Additionally, the applicant also required to upload the scanned copy of the qualifying exam (10+2) certificate in pdf format.
- After submitting the application form, the aspirants need to pay the application fee.
- It is advised to keep a hard copy of the submitted application form safe for future reference.
Application Fee
The application fee for candidates from different categories will be as follows:
- All Indian Female candidates: Rs. 1200/-
- SC/ ST/ PWD candidates: Rs. 1200/-
- All other Indian candidates: Rs. 2400/-
- Foreign nationals from SAARC countries: USD 160
- Foreign nationals for non-SAARC countries: USD 300
Mode of payment: The application fee can be paid online using a debit card, credit card or internet banking.
UCEED 2021 Exam Pattern
The pattern of the exam will be as follows:
- Mode of exam: Online (Computer-based test)
- Duration of Exam: 3 hours
- Language of Questions: English only
- Total marks: 300
- Sections: The question paper will be divided into 3 sections as given below:
- Section A: Numerical Answer Type (NAT) question
- Section B: Multiple Select Questions (MSQ) (Having more than one correct answers)
- Section C: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)
- Marking Scheme: Each question in section A and B will carry 3 marks. The questions in section C will carry 4 marks
- Negative Marking: There will be no negative marking for Section A. 0.19 and 1.32 marks will be deducted for incorrect answers in Section B and Section C respectively.

UCEED 2021 Syllabus
The questions in UCEED 2021 exam will be based on the following topics. Go through the prescribed syllabus below:
- Visualization and Spatial Ability: Pictorial and diagrammatic questions to test, understanding of transformation and/or manipulation of 2D shapes and 3D objects etc.
- Observation and Design Sensitivity: Ability to discern subtle differences in visual properties and aesthetic outcomes.
- Environmental and Social Awareness: General awareness of environmental factors such as vegetation, climate, water, population, natural resources, weather etc.
- Analytical and Logical Reasoning: Ability to check for hidden bias or hidden assumptions and whether evidence and argument support conclusions.
- Language and Creativity: Ability to think creatively in terms of alternatives, ability to distinguish innovative options and think out of the box.
- Design Thinking and Problem Solving: Ability to understand complexity, identify problem, generate alternatives, evaluate options and select solutions.
UCEED 2021 Admit Card
- The successfully registered candidates will be able to download their admit card from the official website.
- The following details will be available on the admit card i.e. Name, UCEED registration ID, Roll No., photograph and signature of candidate, examination schedule, etc.
- In case of any discrepancy with the admit card, the candidate may contact Chairman JEE (Advanced), UCEED & CEED at IIT Bombay.
- No candidate will be allowed to appear for the exam without a valid admit card.

UCEED Result
- It is expected that the result of the UCEED 2021 will be declared in the month of March 2021
- The result will be announced online through the official website.
- In order to check the result, the candidates need to log in using their registration number and password.
- The qualified candidates will be able to download their scorecard.
- Please note that the hardcopy of scorecard will not be dispatched to the selected candidates.
B.Des Admission Procedure
- After the declaration of UCEED 2021 result, the selected candidates can apply for B.Des. admission at IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad and IIITDM Jabalpur.
- There will be a common application form for all the institutes.
- The admission procedure will be processed by IIT Bombay.
- In the application form, the candidates have to give the preference of institutes.
- All the relevant documents will also be submitted along with the application form.
- Then, the institute will send the provisional allotment letters to the selected candidates on their email ID.
