TS PGLCET 2022: Application Form (6 April onwards), Exam Pattern, Syllabus, Exam Date

TS PGLCET 2022 will be conducted by the Osmania University, Hyderabad on behalf of TSCHE for admission into full-time L.L.M course offered by various colleges/institutes affiliated to the university. Through this examination, candidates can get admission in L.L.M (self-financing) and L.L.M (Private appearance). Interested candidates must apply for the exam as per the eligibility criteria stated by the authority.

The admission will strictly be granted on the basis of the merit list prepared according to the marks secured by the candidates in the exam. Eligibility Criteria for TS PGLCET 2022

Given below is the eligibility criteria laid down by the authority through which candidates can check if they satisfy them or not-

Nationality: Only Indian Nationals can apply for the exam. Candidates should also satisfy the local/unreserved status of the Andhra Pradesh.

For LLM (Regular): Candidates must possess a 3/5 year degree in LLB/BL with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST candidates). Those appearing in final year can also apply.

For LLM (Private): A candidate should have a minimum 3 years of experience as the judicial officer or as a standing advocate on the date of appearing for TS PGLCET exam.

TS PGLCET 2022 Application Form

To fill the application form for TS PGLCET, candidates first need to make the payment by visiting the official website i.e. http://lawcet.tsche.ac.in/. After paying the required fee, candidates can proceed for filling the application form. The details in the form must be filled very carefully. If by any chance candidates commit mistake while filing the form, they can correct those details through the application correction window provided to edit the details in the form. Candidates also need to upload the scanned copy of the signature and photograph in the form. They should review the form before submitting it.

Application Fee

Candidates must pay the application fee of Rs. 1000/- (Rs. 600 for SC/ST candidates) through any of these two payment modes-

  • by debit card/credit card/net banking
  • by TS AP online

The Exam Pattern for TS PGLCET examination for admission in LLM program is provided below-

The syllabus for TS PGLCET 2022 Examination is as follows-

Jurisprudence: Custom Precedent and Legislation, Schools of Jurisprudence – Sources of Law, Rights and Duties – Ownership and Possession, Persons, Obligation,  Legal Sanctions Property, Liability.

Constitutional law: Nature of the constitution: Fundamental Rights, Directive Principles of State Policy, Executive Judiciary and Legislature, Centre-State Relations, Emergency provisions, Amendments to the constitution.

Public international law: International Law and Municipal Law, Subjects of International Law, State Territory, Air, Sea and outer space, Nationality and Statelessness, Extradition, Asylum, State Jurisdiction, United Nations.

Mercantile law: General Principles of Contract (Sections. 1-75, Indian Contract Act-1872).

Labour law: Trade Union Act 1926, Industrial Disputes Act 1947

Crimes and torts: Torts: General principles of Tort, Defences, Joint liability, State liability for torts, Consumer Protection Act, 1986, Indian Penal Code -General Principles & General Exceptions.

IPR & other laws: Environment (Protection) Act, 1986, Copyright Act, 1957, Patents Act, 1970, Human Rights, The Protection of Human Rights Act, 1993, Salient features of Information Technology Act, 2000 and Right to Information Act 2005.

Preparation Tips for TS PGLCET 2022

Here are some tips through which candidates can score well in the examination-

  • Make a study schedule and follow it diligently.
  • Read the syllabus first before proceeding with the preparation.
  • Solve mock papers on a regular basis.
  • Maintain a healthy diet.
  • Read the newspaper every day to be aware of the current events.
  • Prepare short notes while studying. Revise them at the end of the day.
  • Avoid wasting time unnecessarily on social media.

TS PGLCET 2022 Admit Card

The hall tickets can be downloaded from the official website a week prior to the TS PGLCET exam. If a candidate faces difficulty in downloading the admit card, he/she can contact the Chief Superintendent of the concerned test centre at least 2 days before the exam. It is necessary for the candidates to bring the printout copy of the admit card to the exam hall. Without it, the candidates won’t be allowed to take the exam. The admit card should not be in damaged condition or mutilated under any circumstances.

TS PGLCET Result and Counselling

Candidates will be ranked as per the total marks obtained by them in the TS PGLCET 2022 exam. The result can be checked from the official website. Candidates need to keep the hall ticket no., registration no. ready while checking the score/rank card. The rank card will not be sent by post to the candidates. Based on the rank secured in the exam, qualified candidates will be called to attend the counselling where they will be allotted a seat in an institution based on the preference given during the counselling process.
