TS PGECET Eligibility Criteria 2020

The eligibility criteria for TS PGECET 2020 are given below. The candidates must ensure these criteria before submitting their application.

  • The candidates should have earned their bachelors’ degree in the relevant field in which they wish to pursue the master’s degree.
  • The minimum marks to be obtained in group subjects taken together in the qualifying examination are 50% (45% for reserved category candidates).
  • The candidates who will be appearing in the final year exam of their bachelors’ degree course in the year 2020 are also eligible.

TS PGECET 2020 Application Form

The TS PGECET application form 2020 will be made available on the official website pgecet.tsche.ac.in. The first step towards the submission of application form will be the payment of application fee. For submission of fee, the candidates will have to fill a fee payment form providing their basic personal details. The application fee will be Rs. 1000/- (Rs. 500/- for SC/ ST candidates) and can be paid via by Cash at TSOnline/ APOnline Center or by debit card/ credit card/ net banking. If a candidate wants to appear for more than one test, separate registration fee has to be paid.

After successful submission of application fee, the candidates can proceed for filling application form. In the application form, the candidates will have to provide their personal details, address details, qualifying exam details, test center choice and upload scanned copies of signature and photograph. After providing all the details in the application form, the candidates can make final submission. A registration number will be generated after the successful form submission.

Admit Card

TS PGECET admit card 2020 will be made available for download on the official website a few days before the date of examination. The candidate will be able to download the admit card/ hall ticket by providing the details of registration number, date of birth and exam paper. A printout of the admit card should be taken to be carried to the exam center. The candidates who do not a valid admit card will not be allowed to appear for the exam.


The TS PGECET 2020 result will be announced in online mode and the rank card of candidates will also be made available for download. The candidates can download their rank card using their PGECET hall ticket number, registration number and date of birth. A merit list of the qualified candidates will be prepared in the order of ranking. The candidates will then be invited for counseling as per their rank in the merit list.


The candidates who clear their exam will be called to participate in counseling. At the time of counseling, the candidates will have to get their documents verified and provide the choice for the institute they wish to get enrolled to. As per the choices made by the candidates and their ranking in the entrance exam, seat allotment will be done.

The candidates must note that preference will be given to the GATE/ GPAT qualified candidates for admission to various PG professional programmes. The PGECET qualified candidates will be considered for the seats that remain vacant after admitting the GATE/ GPAT qualified candidates.
