TS EAMCET Eligibility Criteria 2023: Nationality/ Domicile criteria, Age, Education

The interested applicants who wish to get enrolled in engineering, pharmacy and other courses offered by the Telangana based institutes can apply for the TS EAMCET. However, it is mandatory for the candidates to fulfill the basic TS EAMCET Eligibility Criteria 2023 before applying for the exam. A qualified candidate can lose his/ her candidature at any stage if it is found that he/she does not meet all the eligibility requirements. The basic TS EAMCET Eligibility Criteria 2023 is to be an Indian, PIO or OCI candidate who is also a domicile of Telangana/ Andhra Pradesh. The course-wise eligibility criteria differ from one course to another.

TS EAMCET Eligibility Criteria 2023

The following are the important TS EAMCET Eligibility Criteria 2023 to be fulfilled by the applying candidates:

Nationality/ Domicile criteria:

• The candidates of Indian nationality, Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) are considered eligible for TS EAMCET.
• The candidates should belong to the state of Telangana/ Andhra Pradesh.

Qualification criteria:

For B.V.Sc. & A.H., B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture, B.Sc. (Hons.) Horticulture, B.Sc. (Forestry), B.F.Sc., and 50% seats in B.Tech. (Food Technology) courses:

• It is necessary for the aspiring candidates to pass their intermediate exam (10+2) or any equivalent examination recognized by the Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana / Andhra Pradesh. The appearing candidates are also eligible.
• The candidates must have studied any two/ three out of the given subjects:
  • B.V.Sc. & A.H.: Physical Sciences, Biological/ Natural Sciences
  • B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture: Physical Sciences, Biological or Natural Sciences, Agriculture, Vocational Course in Agriculture
  • B.Sc. (Hons.) Horticulture: Physical Sciences, Biological or Natural Sciences, Agriculture, Vocational Course in Agriculture
  • B.Sc. (Forestry): Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology
  • B.F.Sc.: Physical Sciences, Biological/ Natural Sciences, Vocational Course in Fishery Sciences
  • B.Tech. (FT): Mathematics, Physical Sciences or Physical Sciences, Biological/ Natural Sciences
• Irrespective of the subjects taken at the qualifying examination, candidates seeking admission to the above courses should appear for Biology, Physics and Chemistry in the entrance exam (AM Category).
• The lower age limit of the candidates is 17 years and upper age limit is 22 years (25 years for SC/ ST candidates) as on 31^st December of the year of admissions.

For Engineering, Biotechnology, B.Tech (Dairy Technology)/ B.Tech (Agriculture Engineering), 50% seats in B. Pharmacy and 50% seats in B.Tech (Food Technology) courses:

• Candidates should have passed (or appearing) their Intermediate exam with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology or related vocational courses in the fields of Engineering and Technology, conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana/ Andhra Pradesh along with a bridge course or any other recognized equivalent exam, provided that candidates who have passed with Biology, Physics and Chemistry along with the bridge course examination in Mathematics will also be eligible for the Biotechnology course.
• The applicants should have passed or appearing in the final year of Diploma course in Engineering conducted by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Telangana/ Andhra Pradesh or any equivalent exam.
• It is also necessary for the candidates to obtain at least 45% aggregate marks (40% for reserved category candidates) in the specified subjects.
• For engineering and pharmacy course, the lower age limit as on 31^st December of the year of admissions is 16 years and there is no upper age limit.
• For B.Tech (Dairy Technology), B.Tech (Agriculture Engineering), B.Tech (Food Technology), the lower age limit is 17 years and upper age limit is 22 years (25 years for SC/ ST candidates) as on 31^st December of the year of admissions.

For the remaining 50% seats in B. Pharmacy:

• The applicants should have passed their Intermediate or equivalent exam recognized by the Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana/ Andhra Pradesh with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
• The minimum marks to be secured in the aggregate of these subjects are 45% (40% for SC/ ST candidates).
• The appearing candidates are also considered to be fulfilling the TS EAMCET Eligibility Criteria 2023 for B.Pharmacy.
• The lower age limit of the candidates is 16 years as on the date of commencement of admissions and there is no upper age limit.

For Pharma-D courses (50% seats for M.P.C and 50% seats for Bi.P.C candidates):

• The applicants who have passed (or are appearing) their Intermediate with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/ Biology conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana/ Andhra Pradesh or equivalent exam or those who have done Diploma in Pharmacy conducted by the Telangana/ Andhra Pradesh State Board of Technical Education and Training or equivalent are eligible.
• The candidates should have obtained at least 45% marks (40% for SC/ ST candidates) in aggregate of the given subjects.
• Candidate should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission.

Note: Please carefully read the eligibility requirements for TS EAMCET before you proceed to apply. The candidature of an ineligible candidate will be cancelled at any point in time. 

TS EAMCET Application Form 

All the candidates who meet the TS EAMCET Eligibility Criteria 2023 can apply for the exam by submitting their applications. The TS EAMCET Application Form can be obtained from the official website eamcet.tsche.ac.in from the first week of March (tentatively). At first, the candidates will have to make submission of application fee and after that they can proceed for filling the application form. After the completion of the application process, the candidates will be provided with a registration number that will be used for all further communications.
