Eligibility Criteria for DEAET
For Bachelor of Arts: candidates, who have done Higher Secondary examination or its equivalent with minimum four subjects including English from any recognized Board/ Council, will be eligible for admission to BA General Program of studies.
For Master of Arts: An applicant who has successfully qualified the 3-Years or 6 Semester Bachelor’s Degree (General or Honours) of this University or any other recognized University in 10+2+3 scheme or equivalent system of education will be eligible to apply.
Candidates, who are appearing in the BA Final Examination, will be eligible to apply for admission to the subjects provided by the Post Graduate Faculty (ODL)
Certificate course in Human Rights (CHR): Applicant, who has qualified the Bachelor’s Degree (Pass or Honours) of this University or any other recognized University in India under the pattern of 10+2+3 scheme or equivalent system of education will be eligible to apply for admission.
Applicants who have taken the Bachelor’s Degree (General or Honours) of this University or any other recognized University in India under the pattern of 10+2+2/ 10+1+3/11+3 or equivalent qualification are also eligible to apply for admission into the CHR offered by the DDE.
Tripura University DEAET Application Form: How to apply?
Application form for Tripura University Distance Education will be available online. Applicants seeking admission to different courses of Directorate of Distance Education, Tripura University for academic session 2022 can apply online by visiting the official website i.e. www.tripurauniv.in. Before filling up online application form, applicants are advised to make sure that they successfully meet the eligibility criteria. They can also apply and download the power jyoti payment challan form for distance education.
Application Fee
Candidates have to pay Rs.780/- (Rs.650+Rs.130) as required application fee. Payment can be made through State Bank of India Power Jyoti Challan.
DEAET Examination Pattern
Each Year, the DDE will organize the Distance Education Admission Eligibility Test (DEAET) for selection of eligible applicants for admission into various course under Directorate of Distance Education, Tripura University. The exam pattern of DEAET is as follows:
- The exam will conduct in English language only except language subjects
- DEAET 2019 will be of 100 marks for each course.
- Duration of exam will be 2 hours.
- The paper will consist of a total of 50 MCQs having four alternatives. Each question will carry 2 marks.
- The DEAET will be organized in accordance with the Syllabus of UG Program of the university
Selection Process
Candidates will be selected for admission to different courses of Directorate of Distance Education, Tripura University on the basis of the merit list prepared by ‘Distance Education Admission Eligibility Test’ (DEAET) organized by the DDE, Tripura University.
Reservation Criteria
There will be a reservation of seats for SC/ST/OBC (Non Creamy Layer)/Persons with Disabilities (PWD) candidates as per the Central Educational Institutions (Reservation in Admission) Act, 2006 (No.5 of 2007) and Amendment Act, 2012 (No. 31 of 2012) available in the Gazette of India by the Ministry of Law and Justice, Govt. of India or as revised from time to time.
2% Supernumerary seats are kept reserved for students belonging to Jammu and Kashmir.
