TMISAT 2023: Application Form, Eligibility Criteria, Exam Pattern

Admission to B.Tech Marine Engineering and B.Sc Nautical Science courses offered by the Tolani Maritime Institute is done on the basis of entrance exam, TMISAT 2023. Other parameters such as performance in interview, medical exam, etc will also be taken into account for admission. Online application form for the admissions has been released now. Availability of application will be only online but the submission should be done in both online and offline mode.

TMISAT 2023 Eligibility Criteria

The course-wise eligibility criteria for appearing in TMISAT 2023 are provided below:

For B.Tech Marine Engineering:

• Gender: Candidates of both genders are encouraged to apply for this programme.
• Age: The minimum age of the candidates should be 17 years. Male candidates should be born on or after 1st September 2002 and female candidates on or after 1st September 2000 can apply.
• Marital status: Only unmarried candidates will be considered.
• Educational qualification: The candidates should have passed their class 12th exam Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and scoring at least 60% marks in aggregate. At least 50% marks in English either in Class 10 or Class 12 is also required.
• Physical fitness: The candidate has to meet the laid down physical fitness and medical standards to qualify for admission.

For B.Sc Nautical Science:

• Gender: Both male and female candidates are eligible to apply.
• Age: Male candidates born on or after 1st September 2002 and female candidates born on or after 1st September 1998 are eligible. Minimum age of a candidate shall be 17 years.
• Marital status: Unmarried candidates are only eligible to apply.
• Educational qualification: A pass in class 12th exam Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks is required. Additionally, the candidates also need to score at least 50% marks in English either in Class 10 or Class 12.
• Physical fitness: The candidate has to meet the laid down physical fitness and medical standards to qualify for admission.

For B.Tech Marine Engineering (Lateral Entry):

• Age: The age of the candidates should be less than 24 years.
• Marital status: Only unmarried candidates are eligible to apply.
• Educational qualification: Candidates must have successfully completed Diploma in Mechanical or Marine Engineering with at least 60% marks overall and should have complete the diploma within the stipulated period of 3 years. A minimum of 50% marks in English in class 10 or 12 is also required.

TMISAT 2023 Application Form

The application form for TMISAT 2023 will be released in online mode. The candidates can obtain the application form by visiting the official website of the institute www.tmi.tolani.edu.

• In the application form, the candidates will have to provide their basic personal details such as name, father’s name age, gender, email id, phone number, etc.
• Academic details such as qualifying exam passing year, marks obtained, etc will also be asked in the application form.
• The candidates need to upload scanned copies of their photograph and signature into the form as well.
• Copies of other important documents such as birth certificate, 10th & 12th mark sheet, etc should also be uploaded into the form.
• Details regarding the IMU CET like application number, etc should be provided into the application form.
• After providing these details into the form, the candidates can then proceed with the payment of application form.
• Candidates should take a printout of the application form after this and send the same along with photocopies of all the important documents and fee payment receipt to the institute.

Application fee:

• The application fee will be Rs. 1200/- and will once paid will not be refunded under any condition.
• Payment of the application fee can be done online using debit card/ credit card/ net banking or offline through demand draft.

TMISAT 2023 Exam Pattern

The basic overview of the TMISAT exam pattern 2023 is provided below:

• Exam duration: 1 hour 30 minutes
• Mode of exam: Online mode
• Number of questions: 80
• Type of questions: Objective type
• Negative marking: Marks will be deducted for incorrect answers.

Behavioral assessment: After the conduct of the entrance exam, a behavioral assessment of 30 minutes will be held.

TMISAT 2023 Admit Card

• Online admit card for the admission test will be released on the official website of the institute.
• Candidates should download their admit card and take its printout to carry it to the exam center.
• Only the candidates with a valid admit card and identity proof will be allowed to appear for the exam.
• The candidates should not damage or lose their admit card as no duplicate card will be issued at any later stage.
• In order to protect the admit card, it is advised that the candidates take multiple printouts of the same.

TMISAT 2023 Result

• Result of the entrance exam will be declared online on the official website of the institute tentatively in the month of June 2023.
• On the basis of marks obtained in the entrance exam and performance in the behavioral assessment, a merit list of the candidates will be prepared.
• Further round of admission will be conducted as per the names of the candidates in this list.

TMISAT 2023 Counseling

• Candidates shortlisted for counseling will have to provide their choice for course specialization and their personal interview will also be conducted.
• Documents and eligibility of the candidates will also be verified during the counseling.
• After this, medical examination of the candidates will be conducted.
• Once all these rounds are completed successfully, final admission will be granted to the candidates.
