TAPMI 2022: Application Form, Eligibility Criteria, Important Dates

The candidates who wish to be considered for the admission to PGDM program offered by T. A. Pai Management Institute can submit their applications from November 2021 onwards. TAPMI 2022 Eligibility Criteria

The following eligibility criteria should be fulfilled by the candidates applying for TAPMI 2022:

Nationality:

• Candidates of Indian nationality, Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) and Foreign National (FN) candidates are eligible to apply.
• Applicants who are Non-Resident Indians (NRI) and have graduated from a University/ Institute abroad within the last three years are eligible given that at least one of the parents is an NRI at the time of application or the candidate is sponsored by a blood relative who is an NRI.

Academic qualification:

• The candidates are required to hold a graduation degree from a recognized university from any discipline with not less than 50% marks in aggregate.
• Those who are in the final year of their graduation degree program who will clear the final exam before the commencement of admission process can apply too.

TAPMI Application Form 2022

Application form for TAPMI 2022 will be released through online mode on the official website of the institute www.tapmi.edu.in. It is advised that the candidates complete the application process before the last prescribed date in order to be considered for the admissions.

• The candidates can fill the application form by providing basic personal info such as name, category, gender, date of birth, email address, phone number, nationality, etc.
• Academic details related to qualifying such as exam passing year, passing status, marks obtained, college name, etc should also be provided in the application form.
• Scanned copies of candidates’ photograph and signature need to be uploaded in the application form.
• Care should be taken while filling details in the application form as any incorrect information will make it liable for rejection.
• After providing all the details as asked into the application form, the candidates can submit it online.
• The candidates must keep a printout of the duly filled application form with them in case of future reference. There is no need to send this printout to the institute.

Application fee:

• The application process will be considered complete only after the payment of the prescribed application fee.
• Payment of the fee can be done online by means of debit card/ credit card or using internet banking facility.
• Application fee structure for TAPMI 2022 for different programmes is provided in the table below. The fee once submitted will not be refunded under any circumstances.

Criteria for selection

Two different selection criteria are followed for shortlisting the candidates for admission to the institute. Details are given as follows:

1. For candidates with work experience < 2 years

The following parameters will be considered for shortlisting candidates with work experience less than two years.

• Class 10th cut-off marks: Minimum 60% marks
• Class 10th cut-off marks: Minimum 60% marks
• Graduation cut-off marks: Minimum 60% marks
• XAT 2022 cut-off marks: Minimum 85 percentile
• Or CAT 2021 cut-off marks: Minimum 85 percentile
• Or GMAT cut-off marks: 630 marks

2. For candidates with work experience > 2 years

• For applicants having work experience more than two years, selection will be done on the basis of CAT/ XAT/ GMAT scores, whichever is higher.
• Marks obtained in class 10th, 12th and graduation, backlogs in graduation, etc will also be taken into account.
• Details regarding the work experience such as total experience in years, type of companies worked in, etc will be considered as well.

TAPMI 2022 Selection Process

• Candidates who are shortlisted on the basis of parameters discussed above, they have to appear for written ability test (WAT), group discussion (GD) and personal interview (PI) rounds.
• The written test will be conducted to assess the articulation skills and knowledge of the candidates about grammar and spellings.
• In the group discussion round, ability of the candidate to interact with a group, his/ her leadership skills, problem solving skills, solution orientation, persuasion & communication skills will be evaluated.
• At the time of personal interview, ability of the candidate in terms of self-management, self-awareness, social awareness, leadership and communication skills will be tested.

TAPMI Admission Process 2022

• After all the rounds of selection process are over, a list of the candidates who successfully clear this round, will be prepared.
• The list will be prepared in the order of ranking and uploaded on the official website of the institute.
• Selected candidates will have to get their documents verified and therefore they should carry all their documents in original and photocopy at the time of reporting for admission.
• Once the documents and eligibility are verified successfully, the candidates will be offered final admission on the basis of their choice and seat availability.
• Such candidates should complete the rest formalities of admission such as payment of fees, submission of documents, etc.

In what cities will the group discussion and personal interview round be conducted?

All the three rounds of selection process, WAT, GD and PI will be conducted in the cities of Mumbai, New Delhi, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai and Manipal.

Can I apply for admission through offline mode?

No. The application form for TAPMI will only be released through online mode on the official website of the institute.

Is there any entrance exam conducted for enrolment?

No entrance exam will be conducted and admission is done on the basis of any of the following exams- CAT/ XAT/ GMAT/ NMAT/ SNAP/ ATMA/ CMAT/ MAT. ILETS exam score is mandatory for PIO and foreign national candidates.

How do I provide my choice for program for admission to TAPMI?

The candidates will be allowed to provide their choice for programme either at the time of application or admission.

What happens if an ineligible candidate secures admission through any means?

Candidates who succeed in taking admission in the institute by false means will be debarred from the continuation of course once their ineligibility is discovered. Any fee submitted will not be refunded in this case.
