About Tamil Nadu Board of Secondary Education

The board has seen its inception under the purview of the Department of Education, Government of Tamil Nadu, India. The board is responsible for conducting exams of different streams and classes, it devise syllabus, monitors the activities of schools under its purview and provide affiliation to schools and requisite assistance to school affiliated to it.

Roles of Tamil Nadu Board of Secondary Education

The Tamil Nadu Board of Secondary Education conducts examination for difference courses as in Anglo Indian Stream, SSLC, the Oriental school leaving certificate and Matriculation stream. The board also conducts examination for Higher Secondary Certificate. The board conducts exams boards at two levels at the end of class 10^th and at the end of class 12^th. The board conducts the exam in the month of March and April and the results are declared in the month of May. The syllabus for all the courses is made by Tamil Nadu Board of Secondary Education.
