SRMGEET 2021: Application form, Dates, Eligibility Required

The SRM Institute of Science & Technology will provide admission to the candidates into its ME/ M.Tech degree programme on the basis of entrance exam, SRMGEET 2021. Application form will be released online tentatively from the month of October 2020 and the exam is expected to be held in April 2021. The entrance exam will also be conducted in online mode. Those who clear the entrance exam might also need to appear for an interview round. Clearing both the exam and the interview will make the candidates eligible for admissions.

SRMGEET Eligibility Criteria 2021

The SRMGEET 2021 eligibility criteria for different course-specialization are given below:

• Mechanical Engineering- Robotics: Candidates with a BE/ B.Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering/ Production Engineering/ Industrial Engineering/ Automobile Engineering/ Aerospace Engineering/ Aeronautical Engineering/ Mechatronics Engineering/ ECE/ EEE/ ICE/ CSE (or) AMIE (Mech.)/ AMAeSI (Aero)/ IMechE or equivalent with a minimum of least 50% marks in aggregate are eligible.
• Electronics and Communication Engineering- Electronics Product Design & Development: A BE/ B.Tech degree in ECE/ ICE/ EEE/ EIE with at least 50% aggregate marks is required.
• Computer Science and Engineering- Data Science/ Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning/ Cyber Security: The candidates should hold a BE/ B.Tech degree in CSE/ IT/ SWE or M.Sc (CSE/ IT/ Maths) or MCA scoring not less than 50% marks in aggregate.
• Electrical and Electronics Engineering- Energy Systems: Applicants with a BE/ B.Tech degree in EEE obtaining a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate can apply.

SRMGEET 2021 Application Form

The SRMGEET application form 2021 will be released online and can be obtained from the website https://applications.srmap.edu.in/. Those who meet the prescribed eligibility requirement can proceed with the application submission.

• In the application form, the candidates will have to provide their basic personal and academic details such as name, gender, date of birth, category, passing year, marks obtained, etc.
• Photograph and signature of the candidates will also be uploaded into the application form in scanned format.
• Application form complete and correct in all respects can then be submitted by the candidates.
• After successful submission of the form, an application number will be generated that should be noted and kept safe.
• The candidates are also advised to take a printout of the duly submitted application form for further correspondence.

Application fee:

• Candidates need to pay an application fee of Rs. 1100/- for SRMGEET.
• Payment of fee can be done online using credit card/ debit card/ net banking or offline through demand draft.

SRMGEET Exam Pattern 2021

The basic overview of SRMGEET 2021 exam pattern is provided below:

• Mode of exam: Online
• Duration of exam: 150 minutes
• Question paper language: English
• Number of questions: 100
• Type of questions: Objective type
• Total marks: 300
• Marking scheme: 3 marks will be awarded for each right answer.
• Negative marking: There will be no negative marking.

Slot Booking

• Candidates, who register themselves successfully, will be able to book their slot for appearing in the exam.
• Slots will be allotted to the candidates on first come first serve basis based on availability.
• To book a slot, candidates will be required to provide their application details and select a date and time for exam.
• Admit card will be made available after the slot booking is done successfully.

SRMGEET 2021 Admit Card

• Admit card for appearing in SRMGEET exam 2021 will be uploaded on the official website after slot booking.
• Candidates will be able to download the admit card using their application number and other details.
• A printout of the downloaded admit card should be taken to be carried to the exam center on exam day.
• Along with the admit card, the candidates also need to carry a valid identity proof with them.
• Candidates are advised to preserve their admit card till the whole process of admission is over.

SRMGEET 2021 Result

• The candidates can check their result from the official website hopefully in the month of May 2021/ June 2021.
• Candidates with marks above the prescribed cut-off will be considered as qualified.
• A merit list of the candidates shortlisted for interview will be prepared and uploaded on the official website.
• The list will be prepared on the basis of the marks obtained by the candidates in entrance exam.

SRMGEET 2021 Counseling

• The authorities will provide the detailed information about the counseling and interview process through the official website.
• Documents of the candidates will be verified at the time of interview and therefore candidates should carry all their original documents with them.
• Those who fail to get their documents verified will not be considered for admission.
• After successful verification of certificates and eligibility, admission will be granted to the candidates.
• Those selected for admission will have to complete all the formalities within the prescribed time.

If I wish to submit application fee via draft, in what name I should draw the same?

The demand draft for application fee payment should be drawn in favor of SRMIST, payable at Chennai. It must contain the name and address of the candidate written on the reverse side.

What if I fail to book slot for my slot for appearing in the entrance exam?

Those who fail to book the slot for exam, their slots might get booked automatically. If this happens, the candidates will have to appear for the exam anywhere they are allotted their exam center. No request for change in the same will be allowed.
