St. John’s Medical College provides admission to the selected candidates into its different medical courses. Admission into PG courses will be given on the basis of NEET PG. For enrolment into UG Allied Health Science courses and nursing courses will be offered on the basis of entrance exam. Candidates can apply for admission into the course of their interest through online mode. Eligibility must be verified by the candidates before they proceed with the application process. SJMC Admission 2022-2023 Major Highlights

  • Applications forms sent by post or courier will not be accepted and must only be submitted online.
  • The candidates are required to contact the Admissions’ office through call or email in the event of non-receipt of the hall ticket.
  • Admission office can be reached for queries regarding application form as well.
  • Candidates who fail to report for counseling or interview round will lose their candidature and will not be considered for admission.
  • No personal intimation will be sent to the candidates regarding the release of application, admit card or result.

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for admissions into St. John’s Medical College for different courses are given below:

For UG Allied Health Science courses:

Gender:

  • Both male and female candidates are eligible to apply.

Age limit:

  • The minimum and maximum age of the candidates at the time of admission should be 17 years and 35 years respectively.

Educational qualification:

  • Sc MLT, MIT, RDT, PT, AT, OTT & RT courses: The candidate should have passed 2-year Pre-University exam or equivalent with not less than 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
  • Sc MIT & RT courses: A pass in Pre-University exam or equivalent with minimum 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology is required. In addition to this, the candidate should also have scored at least 40% marks in Mathematics. Those who have done Pre-University course from a recognized Board with vocational course in Radiography/ Radiology are eligible too.
  • BPT course: Applicants who have passed the 2-year Pre-University exam with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects or any other equivalent exam can apply. Candidates who have completed pre university course with vocational Physiotherapy and their optional subjects are eligible for admission to BPT course.
  • Lateral entry to B.Sc MLT, RDT, MIT, AT, OTT and RT courses: The candidates should have passed the diploma program from the Government Boards and recognized by RGUHS.
  • Lateral entry to BPT course: The candidates should have passed the 3-year Diploma in Physiotherapy with six months of internship under a Paramedical Board recognized by RGUHS.

For Nursing courses:

General Nursing & Midwifery:

Gender:

  • Only female candidates are eligible to apply.

Age limit:

  • The lower and upper age limit for admission to GNM is 17 and 35 years respectively. For ANM/ LHV, there is no age bar.

Educational qualification:

  • Candidates should have passed class 10+2 or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Biology and minimum aggregate of 45% marks.
  • Those who have cleared 10+2 vocational ANM course (revised after 2001) from the school recognized by Indian Nursing Council are also eligible.

Basic B.Sc Nursing:

Age limit:

  • The minimum age of the candidate should be 17 years on 31st December 2022.

Educational qualification:

  • A pass in 12th standard with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English Core/ English Elective with minimum aggregate of 50% marks from recognized board is required.
  • Those who have passed the 12th standard exam conducted by National Institute of Open School should have obtained at least 50% marks.

Post Basic B.Sc Nursing:

  • The candidates should have completed GNM diploma course with registration from any state nursing council.

M.Sc Nursing:

  • The candidate should be a Registered Nurse from any State Nursing Council and should have completed B.Sc Nursing/ B.Sc. Hons Nursing/ Post Basic B.Sc Nursing course with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks and one year of experience.

For Post Graduate courses:

  • Candidates should have cleared the MBBS Degree course or Post Graduate Medical Diploma from any University recognized by the Medical Council of India.
  • It is also necessary for the candidates to complete the Compulsory Rotating Internship of one year on or before 31st March 2022.
  • Registration with the Indian Medical Council is essential.
  • A valid NEET PG 2022 score is mandatory too.

Application Form

The application form for SJMC Admission 2022 will be released in online mode on the official website of the college. The candidates who meet the eligibility requirements for admission can proceed with their application submission.

  • To fill the application form, the candidates will have to provide their basic personal and educational details.
  • Applicants are also required to upload their photograph and signature in application form in the prescribed format.
  • After carefully providing all the details as asked in the application form, the candidates can submit it online
  • Along with the application form, the candidates will also have to pay the specified amount of application fee.
  • Payment of application fee can be done online through debit card/ credit card/ net banking.`
  • The applicants should retain a printout of the application form along with them as proof of application.

  • Sc Nursing & Post Basic B.Sc Nursing: Rs. 700/-
  • General Nursing & Midwifery: 250/-
  • Sc and lateral entry courses: Rs. 700/-
  • BPT, M.Sc MLT & MHA: Rs. 1000/-

Exam Pattern

Admit Card

  • The admit card will be made available on the official website of the college under candidates’ login.
  • The candidates will be able to download the admit card by logging into their account using their user id and password.
  • A printout of the admit card to be carried to the exam center should be taken after download.
  • A valid photo identity proof must also be brought to the exam center along with the admit card.
  • Candidates must note that no admit card will be sent via post or email.

Result

  • Result of the SJMC 2022 entrance tests will be declared as per the specified schedule.
  • Candidates who successfully appeared in the will be able to check the result in online mode from the college’s website.
  • A merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks scored by the candidates in the entrance test.
  • List of the selected candidates will be made available on the official website and on the notice board of the college.
  • The candidates who are declared as qualified will be invited to take part in the interview and counseling round as applicable.

Interview & Counseling

  • Candidates who clear the entrance test will have to appear for the interview or counseling round.
