B.Tech. Agriculture Engineering
Degree Name: B.E /Btech
Duration of the Course: Four years
Approval from: UGC
Eligibility Criteria: Candidates belonging to unreserved category should have secured 50% marks (40% marks for reserved category) in 10+2 or its equivalent exam with subject Physics, Chemistry, English, Math/Bio.
B.Sc. Agriculture/ B.Sc. Forestry/ B.Sc. Sericulture/ B.Sc. Horticulture/
Duration of the Course: Four years
Approval from: UGC
Eligibility Criteria: As similar to B.Tech. Agriculture Engineering.
M.Sc. Forestry
Duration of the Course: two years
Approval from: UGC
Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in the associated field and obtained 55% marks in aggregate or OGPA of 6.75 on 10.00 point scale or 2.80 on 4.00 point scale and GPA of 7.00 on 10.00 point scale or 3.00 on 4.00 point scale or 60% marks.
Admission Procedure
Admission process for various UG, PG and PhD courses at Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu, Jammu are as follows:
For UG and PG Courses:
- Admission for Self Financing seats (State Domicile) and Free seats will be on the basis of Entrance exam via SKUAST-Jammu and Entrance exam via ICAR (For Free seats only) and through nomination process of inservice students by state govt (it is only free seats).
- Admission for Self Financing seats under NRI Sponsored / NRIs/Wards of Serving Employees Categories/All India Basis will be done by the university on the basis of performance of candidates in 10+2 or its equivalent exam.
For Ph.D (Agri.) & Ph.D (Vety.) Courses
Admission top Ph.D (Agri.) & Ph.D (Vety.) will be done by the university itself on the basis of performance of students Bachelor and Master Degree Programme and performance in interview/counselling.
