Sastra University Admission 2023 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for admission depends upon the course for which you are looking to apply. The eligibility criteria for admission to some of the important courses are as follows.

M.Tech

• The candidate must have a B.Tech/ B.E degree in the particular field in which the candidate is seeking admission from any recognized university.

MBA

• Aspirants must have completed graduation in any field from a recognized university/ institute.
• Applicants should also have appeared for the entrance exam for MBA admission such as CAT/ XAT/ MAT.

BA, B.Com, B.Sc.B.Ed., Integrated Law Courses

• The candidate should have passed the 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board.

M.Sc.

• Candidates should have a B.Sc. degree in a relevant subject with a minimum of 50% marks.

MCA

• It is necessary for the candidate to have either a BCA or equivalent degree.

Offline mode of application

• In order to apply offline, candidates have to visit the official website of the University.
• From the official website, aspirants need to download the application form and take a printout of the same.
• In the application form, aspirants are required to provide their complete educational, personal, and contact details.

• It is also compulsory for the candidates to affix their photograph on the application form.

• B.Sc. / BBA/ BCA/ B.Com/ BFA (Music)/ M.Com/ M.Sc./ B.Sc.B.Ed. & BA.B.Ed/ M.Sc. (5 year integrated)/ B.Optom: Rs. 350/-

Mode of payment: The application fee can be paid online using a credit card, debit card, or internet banking. Alternatively, the fee can also be paid offline using a Demand Draft favouring SASTRA payable at Thanjavur.

Sastra University Admission 2023 Selection Process

The selection process varies for different courses as given below.

• B.Tech & 5-year Integrated M.Tech. (Thanjavur & Kumbakonam Campus): 70% of the seats will be filled on the basis of 10+2 aggregate marks + 1st JEE Main Scores. 30% of the seats will be filled on the basis of 10+2 aggregate marks.
• 5 year integrated – B.A., LLB (Hons.), B.Com., LLB (Hons.), BBA. LLB (Hons.): The admission will be based on the 10+2 aggregate marks.
• M.Tech./ M.Sc./ MCA – Test & Interview. Preference will be given to the GATE qualified candidates for M.Tech with monthly stipends.
• Other programs – Based on qualifying degree/ 10+2 marks.

Result and Merit List

• Once the application form submission process gets over, authorities will screen the applications received.
• Then, based on the information provided by the candidates in the application form, merit lists will be prepared.
• Different merit lists will be prepared for the candidates of different categories.
• Those candidates who will get their names in the merit list will be invited to the counselling process.
