Applications are invited by Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar every year for admissions to various affiliated colleges to itself and Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana, and Punjabi University, Patiala.
Note: The applicants are informed that PTU CET will not be organizing in 2018 onwards; hence admission for the next academic session for B.Tech and B.Arch courses will be made on the basis of NATA and JEE Main score. The PTU will host the centralized counseling for enrollment to these courses in the colleges/institutes and universities situated in Punjab.
Required Eligibility criteria for PTU CET 2021
For engineering applicants:
- The interested candidates must have passed 10+2 examination from the affiliated board with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry as mandatory subjects and scored passing marks in all subjects.
- Candidates who have three years Engineering Diploma from Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology, or Punjab State Board of Technical Education can also apply for PTU CET examination.
For architecture applicants:
- Candidates who keen to get admission in bachelor or architecture program must have qualified 10+2 standard education or HSC education with at least 50% marks with English and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
- Candidates who have three years Diploma in Architecture with at least 50% marks can apply for PTU CET examination.
Procedure to apply:
The candidates can access the PTU CET 2021 application form from the PTU office or download from official website. After the completion of filling process candidate, they need to submit the form by offline mode with photo copies of valid documents with required application form fee to the address would be provided in the official website. The PTU CET 2021 admit card will be issued before the official date of examination. Candidates need to bring their admit card while appearing for PTU CET 2021 examination.
PTU CET 2021 Examination Pattern
PTU CET 2021 will comprise objective type questions in the subjects of Chemistry, mathematics, and Physics. The paper will be held in English language only. Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry or Biology/ Biotech/ Computer science will be carried 60 marks as each subject.
