PGIMER 2022: Application Form, Eligibility, Date, Preparation

The Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research Chandigarh will conduct an entrance exam PGIMER 2022 for selecting candidates for enrolment into its MD/ MS degree course. It is considered amongst the premier institutes providing the postgraduate medical degree to the aspirants and a large number of candidates apply for admissions. The exam is conducted twice a year- November and May and the interested candidates can apply for the exam in online mode.

PGIMER Eligibility Criteria 2022

The candidates who wish to appear for PGIMER 2022 must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

• The applicants of Indian nationality, Overseas Citizens of India and foreign national candidates are eligible.
• The candidate should have passed MBBS degree exam from a University/ Institute by the Medical Council of India (MCI).
• The applicant should have completed their rotatory internship training or will complete on or before 31^st December for January session and 30^th June for July session.
• The candidate should be registered with Central /State Medical Registration Council.

PGIMER 2022 Application Form

PGIMER application form 2022 will be released in online mode on the official website pgimer.edu.in. In the application form, personal details such as name, gender, date of birth, etc, educational details related to the qualifying exam, contact details such as email id, contact number, etc will be asked. Scanned copies of photograph and signature will also be uploaded in the application form. After providing all the important information in the application, the candidates can submit it along with the requisite application fee. The sponsored candidates and the candidates of foreign nationality should take the printout of the application form and send it along with the relevant documents to the Registrar, Academic Section PGIMER, Sector-12, Chandigarh- 160012. The application and the documents should reach at the given address at least 15 days before the commencement of the entrance exam. The candidates must take a printout of the duly submitted application form to be used at the further stage of admissions.

Application fee:

The application fee can be deposited in any branch of State Bank of India by submitting the Challan form in the name of Director, PGIMER, Chandigarh (Examination).

• For SC/ ST candidates: Rs. 800/-
• For other category candidates: Rs. 1000/-
• For PWD candidates: Exempted from payment of application fee

PGIMER Syllabus 2022

PGIMER 2022 syllabus will be based on the topics studied by the candidates during the qualifying examination, i.e. MBBS degree programme. The questions in the exam will be asked from topics such as Applied Anatomy, Applied Biochemistry, Immunogenetics and Molecular Biology, Applied Physiology, Pathology, Pharmacology, Microbiology, etc.

Preparation Strategies

The candidates preparing for the PGIMER 2022 can follow the below-mentioned strategies to score good marks in their exam:

• Study in a planned and focused manner. When you are preparing for a tough and competitive exam like PGIMER, it is very important that you study with full concentration.
• Only refer to the standard books for exam preparation. Also, avoid studying too many books that can create confusion in your mind.
• Always pay attention in your class. The syllabus for PGIMER is as per the curriculum of the MBBS course, so, it will be easy to prepare for this exam if you pay attention in your class.
• Try making notes. The notes that you make while studying are very helpful material for revision purpose.
• Practice previous years’ question papers to get a complete idea of the entrance exam. It will also help you in finding your strength and weakness.

PGIMER 2022 Admit Card

PGIMER admit card 2022 will be released in online mode and will be available for download at least 15 days before the commencement of exam. The candidates can download their admit card by logging into their account using their login id and password generated at the time of application filling. The candidates will be allowed to enter in the examination hall only after presenting their valid admit card.

PGIMER Result 2022

PGIMER 2022 result will be declared online and the candidates can check their result by providing their roll number and date of birth. As per the marks scored in the exam, rank wise and category wise merit list will be released. The counseling of the selected candidates will be done according to the merit list.

PGIMER 2022 Counseling

The candidates will be invited for the counseling process on the basis of their rank. The candidates will have to report to the counseling center as per the schedule provided in the notification. The candidate who is absent at the time of counseling will be eligible to appear in the next round. The complete details of the counseling process will be made available on the official website.
