PESSAT 2023: Application form, Eligibility criteria, Exam Pattern

Admission to different courses offered by the PES University is offered on the basic of entrance exam PESSAT 2023 (PES Scholastic Aptitude Test). It is a university-level entrance test conducted separately for different courses. Application form for the exam will be released in December 2022. Candidates will be able to submit their application through online mode along with a prescribed amount of application fee. For undergraduate program:

• For B.Tech course: The applicants should have passed their class 12th exam with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Electronics/ Biotechnology scoring a minimum aggregate of 60% marks.
• For B.Des course: Those with a pass in class 12th exam or hold a 3-year diploma with 50% aggregate marks and English as a mandatory subject can apply for PESSAT.
• For BBA course: Candidates should have cleared their class 12th or equivalent exam in order to be eligible for the BBA degree programme.
• For BBA.LLB course: A pass in class 12th or equivalent exam with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks (40% marks for SC/ ST candidates) is required.

For postgraduate program:

• For M.Tech course: Candidates with BE/ B.Tech degree in relevant stream scoring at least 60% marks in aggregate are eligible.
• For MCA course: The applicants need to hold an undergraduate degree in any discipline with Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Science/ Computer Programming/ Business Mathematics/ Business Statistics as a mandatory subject and not less than 50% marks in aggregate.
• For MBA course: Graduation in any discipline with at least 60% aggregate marks is required.

PESSAT 2023 Application Form

Application form for PESSAT 2023 will be released online on the official website of the PES University www.pes.edu. Candidates who wish to appear for the entrance exam must fill and submit the application form in time.

• In the form, the candidates will have to provide their basic personal, academic, address and other details.
• Scanned copies of candidates’ photograph and signature should also be uploaded into the application form.
• Carefully check the application form after providing all the details to make sure that there is no error in the form.
• The duly filled application form can then be submitted online along with the required application fee.
• After submission, the candidates should take a printout of the application form and keep it safe for further correspondence.
• There is no need to send the hard copy of the application form to the university.

Application fee:

• The entrance exam fee will be Rs. 1050/-. For courses offered at HN campus, the application fee will be Rs. 550/-.
• Payment of the fee can be done through online mode using the facility of net banking or via debit card/ credit card.

For B.Tech degree programme:

• Exam duration: 3 hours
• Mode of exam: Online
• Number of questions: 180
• Type of questions: Objective type
• Total marks: 180
• Making scheme: Each question will carry one mark.
• Negative marking: One-fourth marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.

For B.Tech Diploma course:

• Exam duration: 2 hours
• Number of questions: 60
• Topics: Pertaining to their respective diploma stream

For rest other courses:

• Exam duration: 2 hours
• Number of questions: 180
• Negative marking: Not applicable

For B.Des programme:

• Basic Knowledge of Colors and Form

PESSAT 2023 Admit Card

• The admit card for appearing in the aptitude test will be released online on the official website of the university.
• Candidates need to book their slot for the exam only after which the admit card will be released.
• On the admit card, the details related to the candidates and the exam will be printed.
• Only those with a valid admit card will be allowed to appear for the entrance exam.
• Admit card should be kept safe by the candidates till the complete process of admission is over.

PESSAT 2023 Result

• Authorities will declare the result of the entrance exam online on its official website.
• Using their roll number, date of birth, etc, the candidates will be able to check their result.
• Based on the marks scored by the candidates in the entrance exam, a merit list of the candidates will be prepared.
• Separate lists will be prepared for admission to different courses.

PESSAT 2023 Counseling

• As per the marks obtained by the candidates in the entrance exam, the counseling will be conducted.
• Details of the counseling process like venue and schedule will be intimated to the candidates through university website.
• Candidates will be asked to provide their choice for course specialization and their documents will be verified during counseling.
• After successful verification of documents, seats will be allotted to the candidates as per their choice and merit.
