OUCET 2021: Osmania University Common Entrance Test

Osmania University Common Entrance Test is conducted by Osmania University for aspirants seeking admission to several PG Diploma, PG and 5-Year Integrated Programmes offered by Osmania, Mahatma Gandhi, Telangana, and Palamuru Universities. However, The Directorate of Admissions, Osmania University is responsible to conduct this test.

Your eligibility will not be verified during the application process and entrance test, it will be validated at the time of admission. If you are found ineligible at that time, your candidature will be automatically cancelled. Therefore aspirants are advised to verify their eligibility genuinely before they apply for the test.

How to Apply for OUCET 2021 Online?

Follow the step-by-step instructions specified below while applying for OUCET:

Step 1: Fill the Registration Form

Yes, you need to complete registration formalities before proceed further to apply for OUCET. During the registration procedure, you’ll be asked to enter your personal and education details. During registration, you’ll be also asked to choose the fee payment mode as either Credit/debit card or Net banking.

Step 2: Make Payment of Registrtaion Fee

Now you need to make payment of registration fee amounting Rs.500/- for OC/BC and Rs.375/- for SC/ST/PH category – via above-chosen mode. Along with that, you will have to make payment of Rs.300/- for each additional subject. After making the payment a message will be appeared on screen regarding successful transaction along with your unique registration ID.

Step 3: Upload signature, photograph, and certificates

Your next step should be uploading your signature, photograph, and certificates. Size of all these documents should be as:

PH certificate Less than 1 MB

 Step 4: Fill Up Application Form with required information

Now you need to fill up the application form with necessary information. Before submitting your application, please confirm that information furnished by you is correct. If everything is found correct you can click the submit button.

Step 5: Take printout of your application form

You need to take printout of the application form for future reference.

Exam Pattern

  • The entrance test for all the subjects excluding M.P.Ed. programme will contain 100 multiple choice objective type questions consist of 100 marks. The entrance test for M.P.Ed. Programme will consist of 75 multiple choice objective type questions of 75 marks.
  • There will be common entrance test for admission to M.Sc. Biochemistry, Environmental Science, Biotechnology, Forensic Science, Genetics, Microbiology and Nutrition & Dietetics programme. The test will have two parts; Part A will contain 40 marks questions from Chemistry whereas, Part B will have 60 questions from one of the optional subjects studied at B.Sc level. List of optional subjects include Botany, Physics, Zoology, Microbiology, Genetics, Biochemistry and Biotechnology.

Exam Pattern for 5 Year Integrated PG Programme

For MBA

  • The test consists of two parts i.e. Part A and Part B.
  • There will be two sections of Part A- Section A contains 25 multiple choice questions from Verbal Ability and Section B includes 15 questions from General Knowledge.
  • There will be two sections of Part B- Section A contains 30 multiple choice questions from Numerical Data Analysis and Section B includes 30 questions from Reasoning and Intelligence.

For M.A. Applied Economics

  • The test will consist of 5 parts i.e. Part A,B,C,D & E.
  • Part A contains 40 questions from Mathematics.
  • Part B contains 15 questions from General English.
  • Part C contains 15 questions from Current affairs.
  • Part D contains 15 questions from Current Affairs.
  • Part E contains 15 questions from General Economics.
  • All questions will be multiple choice questions only.

For M.Sc.in Chemistry & Pharmaceutical Chemistry

  • The paper will consist of four sections i.e. A, B, C & D.
  • Section A contains 35 questions from Chemistry.
  • Section B contains questions from Physics.
  • Section C contains questions from Mathematics and section D will have questions from Biology.
  • Section A & B will be common for both M.P.C and B.P.C students whereas, Section C will be for MPC candidates and Section D will be for BPC candidates.
