Odisha DET result 2021 will be announced most probably in the month of June in online mode. No entrance exam will be conducted and the result will be announced in the form of merit list. After the publication of the Odisha DET 2021 result, the choice filling will be started and the candidates whose names appear in the merit list will be allowed to provide the choices for admissions.

Publication of Odisha DET Merit List 2021

The candidates who submit their application form successfully before the last date will be considered while preparation of merit list. Please note that application forms of ineligible candidates will be rejected. So, carefully check the eligibility criteria before submitting the form.  However, the candidates will first have to get their original documents verified. The Odisha DET Result 2021 will be declared only after the process of certificate verification is over. The merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks secured by the candidates in their qualifying examination. For admissions into different courses, separate merit lists will be prepared and published. Separate merit list will be drawn for the candidates belonging to states other than Odisha. After the publication of the result/ merit list, the process of choice filling will begin.

Methods of Resolving Tie

While preparing the merit list, if two or more candidates get the same ranking, the following method will be implied for resolving tie:

1st Semester Diploma in Engineering/ Technology, Non- Engineering (Beauty Culture only) and part time course:

• The candidate with higher percentage of marks in Mathematics will be placed at higher rank.
• If this does not break the tie, the candidate having higher percentage of marks in Science will be placed at higher rank.
• To break the existing tie, the candidate having higher percentage of marks in English will be placed at higher rank.
• If none of the above method works, the candidate senior in age will be placed at higher rank.

1st Semester Diploma in Non-Engineering (Except Beauty Culture):

• The candidates having higher percentage of marks in English will be placed at higher rank.
• If this does not break the tie, the candidate senior in age will be placed at higher rank.

3rd Semester (LE) Diploma in Engineering:

For Two (02) years ITI/ ITI (COPA) passed candidates:

• The candidates having higher percentage of marks in Trade Theory will be placed at higher rank.
• If this does not break the tie, the candidate senior in age will be placed at higher rank.

For (+2) Vocational (2 years) in Engineering Trade passed candidates:

• The candidates having higher percentage of marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics or Basic Science Foundation Course will be placed at higher rank.
• If this does not break the tie, the candidate senior in age will be placed at higher rank.

For (+2) Science with PCM passed candidates:

• The candidate with higher percentage of marks in Physics will be placed at higher rank.
• If this does not break the tie, the candidate having higher percentage of marks in Chemistry will be placed at higher rank.
• To break the existing tie, the candidate having higher percentage of marks in Mathematics will be placed at higher rank.
• If none of the above method works, the candidate senior in age will be placed at higher rank.

Odisha DET Counseling and Admission 2021

The counseling of the shortlisted candidates will be conducted by the DTE, Odisha. The details of the counseling process will be intimated to the candidates through the local newspaper and the official website. The candidates who are assigned a seat at the time of counseling will have to report to the allotted institute to complete the admission process.
