The candidates, before applying for an entrance exam, must check its eligibility criteria. The Odisha DET Eligibility Criteria 2021 will familiarize the candidates with the age criteria and qualification criteria required for the exam. The eligibility criteria must be checked by the candidates before they submit their application form. Any candidates who submit their application and are found to be ineligible at the later stage, their application fee will not be refunded. Also, even if the candidate clear the entrance test but do not satisfy the Odisha DET Eligibility Criteria 2021, he/ she will not be considered for admissions.

Odisha DET Eligibility Criteria 2021
In order to be eligible for admission, it is must for the candidates to meet the required criteria set for the exam. The Odisha DET 2021 Eligibility Criteria in details for different courses are provided below.
Eligibility Criteria for Admission to Diploma in Engineering/ Technology
- The candidate should have passed the class 10th examination conducted by BSE, Odisha or any equivalent exam as recognized by the BSE.
- The candidate should have obtained at least 35% marks in aggregate.
- A minimum of 30% marks is also mandatory in each subject of English, Mathematics and Science.
- Those applicants who wish to apply for the diploma courses under part-time programme must have done either a 2-year ITI after 10th standard or should have a minimum of 2 years full-time work experience in a Registered Firm/ Company/ Industry/ Educational and/ Government, Autonomous Organizations in the relevant field in which admission is sought. In addition to this, the above-mentioned criteria are also mandatory to be fulfilled.
- The lower age limit is 14 years (16 years for candidates aspiring for Mining & Drilling Engineering) and there is no upper age limit.
Eligibility Criteria for Admission to Diploma in Non-Engineering
- For Modern Office Management (MOM) course: A pass in class 12th exam from CHSE, Odisha or equivalent exam in Science/ Arts/ Commerce stream and a minimum of 30% marks in each subject is required. The lower age limit is 16 years and there is no upper age limit.
- For Hotel Management & Catering Technology (HM&CT) course: The applicants should have passed their class 12th exam from CHSE, Odisha or any other recognized board in Science/ Arts/ Commerce stream. The candidates must score at least 35% marks in aggregate and 30% minimum marks in all subjects individually. The lower age limit is 16 years and there is no upper age limit.
- For Pharmacy course: Those who have passed their class 12th exam from a recognized board with minimum marks of 35% in aggregate with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Mathematics and 30% marks in these subjects individually. The lower age limit is 16 years and there is no upper age limit.
- For Beauty Culture course: The candidates need to clear their class 10th or equivalent exam with at least 35% marks in aggregate and 30% in each of English, Mathematics & Science subjects. The lower age limit is 14 years and there is no upper age limit.
Eligibility Criteria for Admission to Diploma in Engineering/ Technology under Lateral Entry
- A pass in +2 Science Examination from CHSE, Odisha or equivalent with PCM/ +2 Vocational (2 years course) in any engineering trade/ 2 years ITI in any engineering trade/ COE trade with a pass in 10th standard exam conducted by BSE, Odisha or equivalent by BSE, Odisha securing 30% marks in each subject at the qualifying examination is required.
- The lower age limit is 14 years and there is no upper age limit.
Note: The age limit for all the above-mentioned courses should be fulfilled as on 1st July 2021.
Eligibility Criteria for Admission to Diploma in Film & TV Courses Of BPFTIO, Cuttack
- For Cinematography/ Sound & TV Engineering course: The candidates should pass their class 12th exam from Science stream with a minimum aggregate of 35% marks from a recognized board. The lower age limit is 16 years and there is upper age limit is 28 years.
- For Film & Video Editing course: The candidates should pass their class 12th exam from any stream with a minimum aggregate of 35% marks from a recognized board. The lower age limit is 16 years and there is upper age limit is 28 years.
Note: The age limit for these courses should be fulfilled as on 1st June 2021.
Odisha DET Application Form 2021
All the interested candidates who fulfill the Odisha DET Eligibility Criteria 2021 can submit their application form for the exam. The application form for the Odisha DET will only be available in online mode. The candidates will have to provide their personal and educational details in the form, upload their photograph and signature and then submit it along with the prescribed application fee.
