Through this admission process, aspirants are selected for various diploma courses in different private and government colleges in the state of Odisha. Odisha DET 2021 Eligibility Criteria

It is important for aspirants to know the eligibility criteria before filling the application form. Aspiring candidates may check the eligibility criteria of some of the diploma courses as given in the table below.

Diploma in Engineering

Diploma Course Educational Qualification Age as on July 2021
Diploma courses (all engineering except mining & drilling) Candidates must have passed class 10th with at least 35% in aggregate. Plus, 30% marks in English, Science, and Mathematics subjects are also required Minimum 14 years
Diploma course (Mining and Drilling Engineering) Candidates must have passed class 10th with at least 35% in aggregate. Plus, 30% marks in English, Science, and Mathematics subjects are also required Minimum 16 years
Part-time diploma course Aspirants should have cleared class 10th with a minimum of 35% marks and at least 30% marks in English, Mathematics and Science subjects. Aspirants should have completed 2 year ITI after passing 10th standard.

Additionally, candidates must have work experience of a minimum 2 years in a registered firm/ company/ industry/ education and government, autonomous organizations in a relevant field.

Non-Engineering Diploma

Pharmacy Aspirants must have passed the 10+2 or equivalent exam with a minimum of Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics/ Biology subjects. Additionally, 30% marks in all the subject mentioned above are also required. Minimum 16 years and non-upper age limit.
Hotel Management & Catering Technology (HM &CT) Should have passed the 10+2 class in any stream with a minimum of 35% marks and 30% marks in each of the subject. Minimum 16 years and non-upper age limit.
Cinematography or Sound and TV Engineering 10+2 in science stream with a minimum of 35% aggregate marks. 16 to 28 years.

Odisha DET 2021 Application Form

Eligible candidates who want to apply are required to fill and submit an online application form. All the necessary details regarding the application process are explained below.

  • To access the application form, candidates have to visit the official website i.e. www.dtetodisha.gov.in.
  • In order to open the main application form, applicants need to register by entering some of their basic details.
  • A unique user id and password will be generated during registration. Aspirants should note that their mobile number will act as their username.
  • Once registered, candidates can log in and fill the rest of the details in the application form.
  • Apart from the details, applicants have to upload the scanned images of their photographs and signature.
  • The maximum size of the photograph and signature must be 100 KB and 30 KB respectively.
  • The application form submitted by the candidates will not be considered valid unless the application fee is paid.
  • After submitting the application form, aspirants should take a printout of the same for future references.

Application Fee

  • The application fee for the candidates of different categories are as follows.
    • SC/ ST/ Physically Challenged/ Female Candidates: Rs. 200/-
    • All other candidates: Rs. 250/-

Mode of Payment: All the candidates may pay the application fees online using an ATM/ Debit/ Credit card or internet banking.

Odisha DET Merit List

  • After the submission of application forms, authorities will publish various merit lists for different courses.
  • The merit lists are going to be prepared solely based on the marks secured by the applicants in qualifying exams.
  • The admission authorities will also release a separate merit list for outside state candidates.
  • Those who will get their names in the result or merit list will be invited to participate in the e-counselling.

Counselling and Admission process

  • Only those candidates will be allowed to take part in the counselling process who will get their names in the merit list after the declaration of result.
  • During the counselling process, aspirants have to provide their preference of course and colleges.
  • Authorities also verify the documents of candidates during the counselling process. Documents are verified only for those candidates whose documents are not validated online.
  • After the seat allotment process gets completed, candidates have to visit the concerned colleges to finish up the rest of the admission formalities.

Answer: No, the authorities will not accept an offline application form from any candidate.

Question – 2: Due to some reason my application form is rejected. Will I get the refund of my application fee?

Answer: As per the eligibility criteria, the minimum and maximum age limit for admission into this course in 16 and 28 years respectively. 3 years relaxation in upper age limit is also given to SC/ ST candidates.
