The National Institute of Technology, Surat (formerly known as Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology, Surat) is one of the oldest engineering institutes based out in India. The institute was established by Parliament of India in 1961. On the basis of the quality of education, Govt. of India has given “National Importance” status to the institute. The institute offers courses in under graduation, Post Graduation and research level courses that on the basis of entrance exam scores they attained in various national level entrance exams.

NIT Surat B.Tech admission Procedure

Eligibility

NIT Surat offers B.Tech courses in 5 engineering disciplines and 5 year integrated master science courses in three disciplines Admission to 4 Year B.Tech and 5 year M.Tech courses will be based on the performance of candidates in Joint Entrance Exam (at a minimum 60% Weightage) and Intermediate class scores ( at a minimum 40%). The institute has given the right for recruiting the candidates to Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). NIT Surat Postgraduate admission Procedure

Eligibility

NIT offers postgraduate Programmes in Master of Technology (M.Tech.) and Master of Sciences (M.Sc.) The admission to M.Tech programmes is made through the GATE exam conducted by the IIT and IIT institutes. The GATE qualifying students are eligible for getting stipend of Rs.12400p/m from Ministry Of HRD.

Admission

Admission of Candidates is based on the entrance exam scores and the performance they showcased at the time of F to F interview secession.

NIT Surat Ph.D admission Procedure

Eligibility

 The candidate who holds a master degree in Engineering (preferable with GATE score) /M.E/M.S in relevant discipline with at least 55% marks in the concerned discipline is eligible for applying Ph.D in NIT Surat.

Admission

The institute allows candidate’s admission on the basis of entrance exam score, conducted by the institute officials. Additionally, the candidate’s past career performance will also considered for the admission to Ph.D at NIT Surat.
