Started in the year 2009 under the NIT Act 2007, National Institute of Technology Nagaland is a higher education technology institute situated at Dimapur in Nagaland, India. It is administered by the NIT Nagaland Society registered under the Societies Act. NIT Nagaland is fully funded by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. Admission procedure for Phd in NIT Nagaland                   

NIT Nagaland offers various full time as well as part-time Phd courses in different streams. All eligible and short-listed candidates have to appear in admission test and interview round.

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates holding Master’s Degree in Engineering/Technology or (M.S By Research Engineering / Technology) with excellent academic record are eligible to apply phd courses at NIT Nagaland

Applicants with Bachelor’s degree in Sciences with excellent academic record and with a valid GATE score or UGC/NBHM/ CSIRNET or equivalent qualification in the relevant stream are eligible for apply.

Admission Procedure for B.Tech in NIT Nagaland

Previously, admissions into B.tech programs were done by AIEEE. But, now candidate have to qualify JEE MAINS exam, where weightage to this test is 60% and to 12^th class Result is 40%.

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates should have passed 12^th class examination with science stream (Mathematics) in order to appear in JEE Main.

Candidates must have completed 17 years of age

Admission Procedure for M.Tech in NIT Nagaland

M.tech aspirants have to appear in GATE in order to get admission to M.tech courses in NIT Nagaland. Admissions to M.Tech courses will be based on GATE score.

A Department level exam will be held for Non-Gate candidates to admissions in M.Tech courses (depending on the seat accessibility) during Spot Round admission of CCMT.
