Admission Procedure for Phd in NIT Mizoram

NIT Mizoram offers admission into Ph.D Program in various departments including Department of Physics, Department of Mathematics, Department of chemistry, Humanities and Social Sciences (Economics & English) etc. Applicants need to apply for admission to PHD programs offered at NIT Mizoram through its official website i.e. http://www.nitmz.ac.in/

Eligibility Criteria:

For Phd in Engineering:

Candidate must have done Masters Degree in Engineering/Technology from a recognized University/ Institute with a minimum 60% marks or CGPA of 6.5 on the scale of 10. Or

Candidate should have done B.tech in any relevant stream with a minimum of 70% marks or CGPA of 7.5 and with valid GATE score

For Phd in Science & HSS (Physics/ Mathematics/ Chemistry/Economics/English):

Candidate must have done masters in Physics/ Mathematics/ Chemistry/Economics/English from a recognized University or Institute with at least 55% marks or CGPA of 6.0 in the scale of 10 and qualify the NET entrance exam hosted by CSIR /UGC.

Admission procedure for B.Tech in NIT Mizoram

Admission to Bachelor degree courses (computer science, electrical and communication, mechanical, civil etc) at National Institute of Technology Mizoram for 2021-2022, via Central Counseling Board, will be made on the basis of candidate performance in the Joint Entrance Examination, JEE Main.

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates who have passed 12th class with science subjects (Mathematics) are eligible to apply for JEE Main.

Age criteria: The minimum age limit for JEE Main is 17 years.
