PhD Admissions Eligibility of NIT Hamirpur 2023
The institute offering PhD admissions to the departments of Architecture (Arch, Computer Science & Engineering (CSE), Civil Engineering (CE), Electronics & Communication Engineering (E&CE), Mechanical Engineering (ME), Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics (Maths), Humanities and Social Sciences [H&SS (Eco.)], [H&SS (English)], Centre for Energy and Environmental Engineering (CEEE), and Centre for Material Science & Engineering [(CMSE). Admission Eligibility to PhD in Engineering/ Architecture
A Masters degree in engineering /Technology/ Architecture In concerned discipline with CGPI of 6.5 on a 10-point scale (or equivalent) or 60% marks in case of Open/OBC candidates in qualifying degree. Meanwhile, for SC/ST candidates’ 55% marks in qualifying degree or a CGPI of 6.0 on a 10-point scale (or equivalent) is enough for applying a PhD in Engineering/ Architecture program at NIT Hamirpur.
Admission Eligibility of Ph.D. in Applied Sciences at NIT Hamirpur
A Masters Degree in Concerned discipline with CGPI of 6.5 on a 10-point scale (or equivalent) or 60% marks is mandatory for the candidates belonging Open/OBC caste. Meanwhile, for SC/ST candidates’ 55% marks in qualifying degree or a CGPI of 6.0 on a 10-point scale (or equivalent) is enough for applying Ph.D. in Applied Sciences at NIT Hamirpur
Admission Eligibility of Ph.D. in Humanities & Social Sciences at NIT Hamirpur
A Masters degree in the concerned discipline with 60% aggregate CGPI of 6.5 on a 10-point scale (or equivalent) is enough for the candidates belonging from General Category. If the candidate is hailed from a OBC tribe, a 5% mark relaxation (i.e. 55% marks) or a CGPI of 6.0 on a 10-point scale (or equivalent) is enough for applying the course.
PhD Admissions Procedure of NIT Hamirpur 2023

The Department Selection Committee (DSC) conducts a written examination at the various Centers. B.Tech. Admissions Eligibility of NIT Hamirpur 2023
The Institute offering Engineering programmes in 7 disciplines. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD category, 5 years age liberation is permissible. However, such candidates have to surrender original age proving certificate at the time of admission. M.Tech seats at NIT Hamirpur are mutually right for the candidate comes through CCMT (Centralized Counseling for M.Tech/M.Plan) and Sponsored candidates.
