The National Institute of Technology (NIIT) is a national-importance qualified educational institution, which was functioning under the aegis of Ministry of human Resource Development (MHRD), Govt. of India. NIT Goa is well connected with all major road lines passing across the state; its prime campus is located at Farmagudi, Ponda that approximately 29 Kms from the capital City of Goa. The institute offers wide ranges of Graduate and Post-Graduate level courses in the various domains of engineering such as Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering. Apart the above, they also have Ph.D disciplines in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Economics and English.
Admission Procedure of Ph.D in NIT Goa
Eligibility Criteria
The Candidates who are qualified in the national level competition exams like GATE/ CSIR/NBHM/UGC-NET is only eligible for applying the Ph.D in NIT Goa. Also, the applicant must have a minimum 6.5 CGPA on a 10 point sale grading system (or) he/she should acquired 60% marks in both Graduate and Master Graduate levels from a recognized Technical Institute. The candidates who are belonging in SC/ST tribes, is only needed 6.0 CGPA on a 10 point scale grading system or 55% marks in their Graduate and master graduate levels.
Admission Process
The Selection of the candidates merely based on their written examination scores and overall academic performance. All the selected candidates must deposit the academic tuition fee and original documents (includes attested and original certificates) at the time of admission.
Admission Procedure of M Tech in NIT Goa
NIT Goa, is offering M.Tech in various disciplines such as Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) and Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE). For all the 3 disciplines they have 60 Seats, which means 20 seats each per discipline. Excluding this, 2 seats are reserved for sponsored candidates.
Eligibility Criteria
The institute chooses the right candidates on the basis of the scores acquired in CCMT (Centralized Counseling for M.Tech/M.Plan) exam, which is initiated by NIT Rourkela. In addition to that, the candidate must have Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Technology (or) attended in any other course that is equivalent to an Engineering Degree, which having at least 60% marks or 6.5 in CGPA on a 10 point scale. Reservation for the OBC/SC/ST/PH candidates will be considered as per Government Of India Norms.
Admission Process
The institute will call the selected students for a face-to-face interview on the basis of the marks they scored in the written Entrance examination. Final decision for the candidates’ selection will be determined on the basis of performance they showcase in the face to face interview.
Admission Procedure of B.Tech in NIT Goa
Eligibility Criteria
The applicant must have scored a first class level (60%) exam in class 12 and should have valid score in JEE (Joint Entrance Examination (Main)) examination.
Admission Process
The institute select candidates on the basis of JEE scores and the performance showcased in the Face-to face interview round.
