NIT Bhopal (Formerly, Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology) is a ‘National Importance’ categorized educational institution based in Bhopal, Maharashtra.  The institute was started in 1960 as Maulana Azad College of Technology. It was initially started as a polytechnic college with an intake of 120 students and 7 Teaching staffs, later the organization converted into National Institute of Technology (NIT) that working under the Ministry of Higher Education, Government of India. At present, the institute has 450+ Academic staffs and 4000+ staffs. The institute offers 17+ courses in the departments such as Architecture and Planning, Engineering, Humanities, Science and Management Studies.

Admission Procedure of Ph.D in NIT, Bhopal

Eligibility

Master’s degree from a UGC recognized university with 55% marks (Minimum) is enough for applying Ph.D in NIT, Bhopal. Reservations also avail for the students belonging to SC/ST category; however, it will be based on the prevailing Government of India Norms. The candidates belonging to SC/ST/PD categories can expect 5% mark relaxation or 0.5 CGPA.

Admission Process

Based on the score priority, the institute will invite the candidates for a written test on a topic in which he/she is applied for.  Based on the written test scores, the chief recruiting officer of the department will shortlist the candidates and then will be called for interview for the final secession.

Admission Procedure of Architecture and Planning in NIT, Bhopal

Eligibility

Currently, the department of Architecture and planning has 40 seats. The selection of the candidates to B. Arch/B.Planning, determined on the basis of JEE MAIN Paper 2 exam sores.  Also, the applicant must have scored 50% at least in their 12th grade.

Admission Process

The Seats are reserved for the candidates who earn high scores in JEE main 2 examination. The opening Rank Of Institute is 1152 and the closing rank is 8839. Candidates who scored below 1152 or in-between 1152 and 8839 will considered for F to F interview. However, there are many factors that the institute considered prior the admission, which includes the availability of seats, difficulty of Exam, the total list of candidates applied for, etc.

Admission Procedure of Engineering in NIT, Bhopal

Eligibility

NIT, Bhopal Engineering programmes in ten subject-levels such as Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Energy Engineering, Geo-engineering, Industrial & Manufacturing Engineering, Biological Science & Engineering, Material Science and Metallurgical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. Among the ten courses, the Biological Science & Engineering is the recently added course. It offers M .Tech (Biotechnology) and Ph.D degree. Admission

The institute selects the candidates on the basis of the scores they achieved in the JEE main exam. The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JSAA) has the right to declare the finalist names officially.
