National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) is an autonomous institution under the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India. It offers a Diploma in elementary education (D.El.Ed.) for in-service untrained teachers who are working in any government/ government-aided/ private school. The duration of this course under NIOS is 18 months. The admission will be provided on the basis of qualifying examination merit i.e. Class 12th. NIOS D.El.Ed. Admission 2022 Eligibility Criteria

It is necessary for all aspiring candidates to make sure that they are eligible before filling the application form. The eligibility criteria for admission to NIOS D.El.Ed. Admission 2022 are as follows.

Educational Qualification 

  • The candidate should be an untrained teacher teaching at a recognized school.
  • Candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination from a recognized board with a minimum of 50% marks. A relaxation of 5% marks in the qualifying marks will be given to candidates from SC/ ST/ OBC/ PH categories.

Note: If a candidate doesn’t have 50% marks in the 10+2 level then he/she can apply for an improvement through NIOS.

Age Limit

  • There is no upper or lower age limit for admission.

The application form for NIOS D.El.Ed. Admission 2022 will release online through the official website of NIOS. Those who are looking to apply must register by providing some of their basic details. Complete details related to the application process are as follows.

  • To start the process of application form submission, aspirants have to visit the official website and register themselves.
  • At the time of registration, aspirants will be asked to provide some of their basic details including Email ID, Mobile number, password, etc.
  • Once registered, candidates may log-in by providing login credentials generated at the time of registration.
  • After logging in, aspirants have to provide their educational, personal, contact details accurately.
  • It is necessary to provide the details accurately. Otherwise, the application form of candidates can get rejected.

  • Please note that there will not be any entrance exam for admission to NIOS D.El.Ed. Admission.
  • The selection will be purely based on the marks secured by candidates in the qualifying examination.
  • There is not much competition for admission to this course. If a candidate meets all the eligibility criteria then there is a good chance that he can get admission.

  • The list of candidates selected for admission will be published on the official website.

  • The merit list will be prepared solely on the basis of marks secured by candidates in the qualifying examination.

NIOS D.El.Ed. Admission 2022 Counselling Process
