NID 2021: Admit Card(Out), Exam Pattern, Exam Date

NID 2021: National Institute of Design (NID) is one of the premier Design institutes in India that offers Bachelor of Design (B.Des), Master of Design (M.Des), and GDPD courses. NID 2021 application form will be released on 1st October 2020 and the mode of application will be online. The GDPD (Graduate Diploma Programme in Design) course will be offered at the NID Vijayawada and NID Kurukshetra campuses only.

NID 2021 Admission will be granted to those applicants who will clear Design Aptitude Test (Pre and Mains) exam. In this article, we are providing complete details regarding NID 2021 admission procedure such as important date, eligibility criteria, application form etc.

NID 2021 Eligibility Criteria

Here are the minimum eligibility criteria for taking NID entrance exam 2021:

For Bachelor of Design (B.Des) and Graduate Diploma Programme in Design (GDPD)

Age Limit

  • The age of a candidate from general category must not be more than 20 years as on 30th June 2021.
  • The relaxation of 3 years in upper age will be given to the candidates from OBC (NCL)/SC/ST/ categories.
  • A relaxation of 5 years in upper age will be given to the PwD candidates.

Educational Qualification

  • The applicant must have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam from any stream in the academic year 2021-2022.

NID 2019 eligibility criteria for M.Des course

Age Limit

  • The age of an applicant must not be more than 30 years as on 30th June 2021
  • A relaxation of 3 years in upper age will be given to OBC (NCL)/SC/ST categories and 5 years relaxation will be given to PwD candidates.

Educational Qualification

  • The applicants must have passed/appeared/be appearing for the 4 years Bachelor degree exam before July 2019.
  • The candidates having a 3 years bachelor’s degree after 10+2 can also apply only if they have completed Bachelors degree before July 2018.
  • Applicants having a 4 years diploma in Fine Arts/Design/Applied Arts/Architecture after 10+2 are also eligible. However, such candidates must have passed/appeared/appearing for the diploma exam before July 2021.

NID 2021 Application Form

  • The NID 2021 Application Form will be made available only in online mode at the official website.
  • First of all, the applicants have to register themselves on the application portal using a mobile number and email id.
  • All the necessary personal, educational and contact details need to be entered by the candidates in the application form.
  • The scanned images of colored passport size photograph, signature and category certificate required to be uploaded by the candidates while filling the application form.
  • In case the candidate pays the application fee online, then there will be no requirement to send the hard copy of application form to the Institute.
  • If you are paying the application fee offline (by DD) then you have to send the printout of application form along with DD to the institute at the following address.

Mode of Payment

  • The NID 2021 application fee can be paid either online using a debit card/Credit card or offline via Demand Draft.
  • The Demand draft should be drawn in favor of “All India Management Association” payable at New Delhi.

NID Exam Pattern 2021

The NID 2021 (DAT prelims) exam pattern will be as follows:

Points Distribution 70 points for MCQ and 30 points for subjective Questions

After Prelims, shortlisted candidates will be called for DAT Mains exam. The weightage for DAT prelims and Mains exam will be as follows:

Admit Card

The NID 2021 Admit card will be released only in online mode. The institute will not send admit card by post or any other offline method. Candidates have to download the admit card from the official website by providing application form number. No candidate will be permitted inside the examination center without a valid admit card

Result

The result of DAT prelims exam will be declared on the official website of National Institute of Design. Candidates have to check their result online by entering their roll number as the institute will not send result scorecard to the candidates individually.  Before declaring the DAT 2021 result, the NID will also publish the answers keys so that candidates can match their answers with the correct ones.
