Mumbai University PhD Entrance Test 2020: The University of Mumbai will be inviting online applications (only) from eligible candidates for the Ph.D. Entrance test i.e. PET 2020 for providing admission in the concerned subjects of research in the Faculties of Arts, Management, Fine Arts, Commerce, and Technology. Eligibility Criteria 

It is must for all candidates to ensure their eligibility that whether they satisfy the required eligibility conditions or not before applying for admission to Phd courses offered by Mumbai University. The complete details of eligibility criteria for Mumbai University PhD Entrance Test 2020 are furnished below:

  • Candidates having Master’s Degree in relevant stream with obtaining a minimum of 55% marks (50% marks for candidates belonging to reserved categories) from a recognized university are eligible to apply for the entrance test.
  • Applicants who have qualified SET/ GATE/NET/JRF examination and are holders of teacher’s fellowships of govt bodies like UGC/ CSIR/ICAR/ DBT/ ICMR etc are excused from appearing for this entrance test.

Application Form: How to apply

The eligible candidates can fill the Online Application Form for the Phd Entrance Test through the University website i.e. No offline application will be accepted. Candidates are required to fill all the mandatory fields with correct details. They need to upload the recent scanned copy of passport size photograph and signature in the prescribed format. Take the print out of duly filled application form and the same should be submitted in duplicate along with receipt/DD of application fee payment and the attested photocopies of previous academic qualifications, work experience certificates (if any) and Caste certificate (if applicable) to the “Thesis Section Room No 129, 1st Floor, University of Mumbai, Fort, Mumbai – 400 032” before due date.

Application Fee

Candidates are required to pay the applicable fees Rs.1000/- (Rs.500/ in case candidates from SC/ST/VJNT/OBC/SBC category). The amount needs to be paid in online mode only.

Admit card

The university will be issued admit card for PET 2020 only for those who are eligible and successfully registered. Candidates can download the University of Mumbai PET 2020 admit card online by visiting the official website of the university.
