  • There will be two test booklets namely test booklet 1 & 2.
  • Test booklet 1 will have two parts; the first part will have approx 100-120 multiple-choice questions. For every wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted. The second part will have two descriptive questions.
  • Test booklet 2 has 3 major sections. Candidates are must to answer all questions available in this booklet. Questions will be descriptive type.

MICAT Exam Pattern 2022

Mode of the Test

The test will be conducted in online mode. Major topics of the test include Written Communication Abilities, Thinking Abilities, General Awareness about contemporary business and social issues, including domains related to marketing, media, advertising & current affairs and Analytical & Verbal Abilities.

Exam Duration

The duration of the exam is 125 minutes. Candidates will be given 35 minutes for Paper I and 90 minutes for Paper II. Candidates should keep in mind that they will not be given any extra time.

Sections of the Question Paper

There will be two major sections among which second section has three parts. The first section will contain 4 descriptive questions. Section II has three parts; Part I is a Psychometric Test whereas Part 2 contains questions from Reasoning and Part 3 will be a General Knowledge section.

Number of Questions

  • Section 1: 4 Descriptive type questions.
  • Psychometric Test: 30 statements
  • Reasoning and Verbal Ability: 35 Questions
  • General Knowledge: 25 Questions

Scheme of Marking

There will be no negative marking rule applicable for section I and Paper I of section II. However, 25% marks gets deducted for each wrong attempt in Part II and Part III of section II.
