Candidates who want to get enrolled in the B.Ed degree programme offered by the institute of Maharashtra need to clear an entrance test. Interested candidates who meet the eligibility criteria as well can apply for the exam through online mode. Both the application submission and the conduct of exam will be in online mode. The basic eligibility for appearing in the MAH B.Ed CET 2021 is discussed below.

Nationality: 

  • Candidates of Indian nationality are eligible to apply.
  • NRI, PIO, OCI, foreign national candidates and Children of Indian Workers in the Gulf Countries are eligible too.

Candidature type:

Applicants belonging to the following candidature can and should apply under the given candidature only:

Maharashtra state candidature:

Maharashtra State candidature Type A Candidates who are Domicile of Maharashtra or born in Maharashtra
Maharashtra State candidature Type B Candidates whose father or mother or both have a domicile certificate of Maharashtra and do not fall under type A
Maharashtra State candidature Type C Candidates who has completed SSC & HSC from the state and whose father or mother or both is an employee of the Government of India or Government of India Undertaking posted and reported to duty in the Maharashtra State (before the last date for submitting the application form)
Maharashtra State candidature Type D Candidates who has completed bachelor’s/ master’s degree from the state and father or mother or both of the candidate is an employee of the Government of Maharashtra or Government of Maharashtra Undertaking
Maharashtra State candidature Type E Candidates who has completed bachelor’s/ master’s degree from a recognized institution from a disputed Maharashtra-Karnataka Border Area and whose Mother tongue is Marathi

 

All Indian candidature: All Indian national candidates fall under this category.

Minority candidature: Maharashtra domiciled Candidate belonging to a particular Linguistic or Religious Minority Community from within the State of Maharashtra

NRI candidature and Foreign Student/ OCI/ PIO candidature

Jammu and Kashmir Migrant Candidature: Children of citizens, who are displaced from Jammu & Kashmir to any part of India or to a relatively safer place in Jammu & Kashmir from 1990 onwards due to terrorist activities or Children of officers belonging to IAS/ IPS/ IFS and children of staff belonging to military and paramilitary forces transferred to Jammu & Kashmir to combat terrorist activities and joined the post on or before the last date for submission of application for admission or Children of staff and officers of Jammu & Kashmir police engaged in combating terrorism

Academic qualification:

  1. A bachelor’s and/ or master’s degree in Sciences & Mathematics/ Social Science/  Humanity Sciences/ Commerce with specialization as given in the table below scoring not less than 50% marks for open category and 45% marks for reserved category candidates is required.

Maharashtra B.Ed CET Application Form 2021

  • The candidates will be able to apply for the MAH B.Ed CET 2021 in online mode and the application form can be obtained from the official website www.mahacet.org.
  • Basic personal and academic details of the candidates such as name, date of birth, gender, category, qualifying exam passing year, institute name, etc will be asked in the application form.
  • Scanned copies of candidates’ photograph and signature should also be uploaded into the application form.
  • After providing all the details into the application form, the candidates can submit it online with the prescribed application fee.
  • Upon successful submission of the application form, the candidates are suggested to take its printout and keep it safe for future reference.

Application fee:

  • Payment of application fee can be done online using credit card/ debit card or internet banking.
  • The application fee for the general candidates will be Rs. 800/- and Rs. 400/- for reserved category candidates.

MH B.Ed CET Syllabus 2021

The basic syllabus for the common entrance test is provided below:

  • Mental Ability: Analogies, Blood Relationship, Classification, Syllogism, Coding-Decoding, Problems on Dice, Series Completion, etc
  • General Knowledge: Local, National, International Knowledge including Past Events, Current Affairs, Science, Technology, Civics, Political Science, History, Geography  and Literature
  • Teacher Aptitude: Communication & Professional Commitment, Leadership Qualities, Knowledge & Awareness about changes in Education & Society, etc

MH B.Ed CET 2021 Admit Card

  • The candidates who submit their applications on time will be able to download the CET admit card from the official website www.mahacet.org.
  • To download the admit card, the candidates will be required to provide their registration details.
  • A printout of the admit card should be taken and carried by the candidates to the exam center or else they will not be allowed to take their exam.
  • Details regarding the venue and schedule of the entrance exam will be communicated to the candidates through the admit card.
  • Admit card will only be available online and will not be sent though post, courier or any other means.

MH B.Ed CET Result 2021

  • The result of the common entrance test is expected to be announced in the month of July 2021.
  • A merit list of the candidates on the basis of their marks in the entrance exam will be drawn.
  • Counseling of the qualified candidates will be conducted as per the names in the merit list.
  • During counseling, the candidates will be allowed to provide their choice for college and their documents will also be verified.
  • Final admission will be offered to the candidates as per their choice and merit after successful document verification.

Can outside Maharashtra candidates apply for MH B.Ed CET?

Yes they can. However, such candidates will be considered under general category and the minimum qualifying marks for such candidates will be 55%.

Can I edit my application form after its submission?

No. Once submitted, no changes will be possible in the application form.

How do I know if the admit card for CET is released?

You need to check the official website regularly. Intimations for downloading the admit card will also be sent through email/ SMS.

What documents should I carry to the exam center?

A printout of the admit card along with a valid photo id proof should be carried to the exam center.

Is scribe allowed for visually impaired candidates?

Yes, but the candidates will have to arrange for a scribe at their own cost.
