Mahatma Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Dental Sciences Post Graduate Dental Entrance Exam commonly known as MGPGI PGDEE is one of the most prominent Medical Entrance Exams organized in our nation. The examination is organized for enrollment to various Post Graduate course in M.D.S. (Master of Dental) at Mahatma Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Dental Sciences.

Eligibility criteria
The interested applicants should have completed B.D.S examination from any institute/university acknowledged by Dental Council of India. But the applicants who will complete their medical training before 31st March, of the respective year can also apply.
Only applicants belong to Pondicherry or having the permanent resident of Pondicherry or NRI/NRI Sponsored/Foreign candidate can apply for the exam.
Application process
Interested and eligible applicants can avail the MGPGI PGDEE application form through online by visiting the official website of the institute. Applicants are advised to fill all required details very carefully. Submit duly filled application form along with the certain fee through demand draft for Rs. 2,000/- (Rs. 600/- for candidates from SC categories) drawn in favor of the Dean, Mahatma Gandhi Postgraduate Institute Of Dental Sciences, Pondicherry, payable at State Bank of India, Pondicherry must be submitted to the institute.
These applications must be submitted to the Dean, Mahatma Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Dental Sciences, Gorimedu, Pondicherry – 605 006 and should reach the institute on or before the due date.

Admission process
Admission of applicants to MDS course is based on the marks scored in the PGDEE entrance exam.
A separate merit list will be made for the applicants emerging under Foreign Students/NRI/ NRI Sponsored/ quota.
Exam Pattern
MGPGI PGDEE will be a multiple objective type exam comprises of total 200 questions. The time duration for completing the exam will be three hours. The exam will conduct only in the English language.
