Eligibility Criteria

  • Indian citizen is eligible to apply for admission to the MBBS and BDS programmes.
  • Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) too can apply for admission.
  • Candidates must have qualified the higher secondary education from any recognized board of secondary education.
  • Candidates appearing in the 12th standard exam can also apply for admission through NEET.
  • Candidates must have studied the subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) in the 12th standard exam.
  • Candidates must have obtained minimum 50% marks in the higher secondary school (12th) exam.
  • Candidates belonging to the reserved category (SC, ST) can apply for admission with 45% marks.
  • Candidates of the SC-PH/ST-PH/OBC-PH/GEN-PH category can take admission in the medical institutes if they have obtained a minimum 40% marks in the 12th standard exam.

Entrance Exam details (NEET Details)

  • NEET is the exam which is the primary criteria for admission into the medical institutes for MBBS and BDS courses.
  • The entrance test is conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) at different exam centres all over the nation.
  • The entrance test is conducted in the month of May.
  • After the commencement of the NEET, CBSE releases the result of the exam in the last week of June.
  • Afterwards, candidates need to take part in the admission counselling to get the allotment of seats in the college.

Admission/Selection Process

  • The ambitious applicants seeking admission into the medical courses need to take part in the admission counselling after the release of the result of the NEET is conducted.
  • The merit list will be made on the basis of the NEET score released by the CBSE.
  • Candidates will be offered admission in the MBBS/BDS Colleges of Rajasthan on the basis of NEET score.
  • The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) & Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will conduct the all India level counselling.
  • 85% of the seats will be filled by those who have domicile of Rajasthan.
  • 15% seats will be for the candidates of other states through the All India-level admission counselling for admission into the BDS and MBBS admission.
