NITTE University is listed among top 46 deemed universities out of a total of 130 deemed UGC approved universities in the country.  The organization was placed under Category ‘A’ by Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India Accredited as ‘A’ Grade University by The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). NITTE University is conducting NITTE University Post Graduate Entrance Test (NUPGET) for the admissions to various Post Graduate courses offering at NITTE University. Interested candidates who wish to attend NUPGET 2018 can read this article to know about the details such as Admission Eligibility, Application Form, Admit card, Results, etc.

NEET PG has replaced NUPGET for admissions.

Eligibility criteria 

  • The applicant must have completed their MBBS/ BDS course from an affiliated institute recognized by Medical Council of India/Dental Council and they must have completed/be completing their internship on or before April 2018
  • Candidates belonging to General Merit category must acquire 50% marks and the candidate belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe (All India) and Other Backward Class ( only Karnataka State) must be acquired 40% in order to qualify the examination.

NUPGET Application Form: How to apply?

The application form will be available online in the month of November 2017. Before start directly applying online, we are recommending you to read the brochure shown on the website www.nitte.edu.in for avoiding the errors.

To fill the application online the candidate must have any photo ID proof, Internship completion date, Medical/Dental Registration Number (Permanent/Provisional), PAN card Number, Personal email address, and scanned image of your latest photo and signature. Any online application without Photo and signature will be rejected without a prior notification. For details regarding the exact size of Photo, please visit the brochure of NITEE University.

The entrance examination fee for the NUPGET 2018 is Rs. 3,000/-(Non-Refundable) which can remit only through online payment mode.

Ernakulum, New Delhi, Mumbai, Mangalore, and Bangalore.

Exam pattern

It’s a Pen-paper mode exam. The candidates have to use blue or black ball point pen for marking answers in the Optical Mark Reader (OMR) sheet. The questions are asking in the English Language. There will be no negative marking system for wrong answers. NUPGET question comprises of 200 questions which one has to attend in 3 hours.

Syllabus MD/MS

The questions for MD/MS are mainly from the subjects like Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Pathology, Orthopedics, Anesthesiology, Ophthalmology, Otorhinolaryngology, Obstetrics & Gynecology, General Medicine, and Dermatology.

Syllabus MDS

The questions for MDS are mainly coming from the subjects like General Human Anatomy including Embryology& Histology, Oral Pathology &Microbiology, Dental Anatomy& Oral Histology, Conservative (Operative) Dentistry including Endodontics, Oral Medicine &Radiology, Oral Pathology &Microbiology, General Microbiology, Human Biochemistry, Human Physiology, General Surgery, and Prosthetics.

Admit Card

Candidates can download the admit card/ Test Admission Ticket from the Official website. The candidates can find the exact date for downloading the Admit card of NUPGET 2018 in the brochure which will release on January 2018. The candidates shall also carry original Unique ID Proof (Voter ID /Passport / PAN Card /Driving License /Aadhar Card) while the day they attending for the exam.

Note: No admit card will send to candidates any other modes than online. If you have any queries regarding the exam, please report it to the controller of exams for further assistance.

Result

The result of Candidates will display on the Official website of the university. The admissions to the PG courses at NITTE are purely on the basis of entrance scores.

Note: In a special case if two candidates scored similar marks, then the admissions may depend on the following factors-

  1. The number of pass attempts in their academics, i.e., M.B.B.S. / B.D.S.
  2. Total Aggregate percentage scored on the M.B.B.S./B.D.S examination
  3. Candidate’s age: the elder candidate is ranked higher than the younger candidate.
