NIMS BPT Admission 2022: Application Form, Important Dates, Selection Process

NIMS BPT Admission 2022: Applications are invited by Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences from eligible candidates of Telangana and the Andhra Pradesh States for admission into BPT (Bachelor of Physiotherapy) course for the academic session 2022-2023. Candidates seeking admission to BPT Programme offered by NIMS must submit their duly filled application form on or before August 2022.   • Duration: four and half years (including internship)

Eligibility Criteria for NIMS BPT Admission 2022

Candidate must satisfy below eligibility Criteria before applying NIMS BPT Admission 2022.

Educational qualification

Candidates having an intermediate examination or its equivalent qualification with optional subjects of Zoology, Chemistry Botany, and Physics or Vocational Physiotherapy with bridge programme of biological and physical sciences are eligible to apply.

Age limit

The minimum age limit for admission will be 17 years and upper age limit will be 25 years as on admission year. In case of SC/ST Category, there will be a relaxation of 3 years in upper age.

Reservation criteria

NIMS, Hyderabad follows the reservation criteria as per the rules and regulation of govt of India. The reservation criteria are listed below:

• • Scheduled Castes –15
  • Scheduled Tribes – 6
  • Backward class – 29%
  • Physically Handicapped (PH) – 3%

NIMS BPT 2022 Application Form: How to apply?

• Aspirants can avail the NIMS BPT admission application form online by visiting the official website of university i.e. www.nims.edu.in
• You need to submit the hard copy of applications
• After downloading the application form, candidates must fill the application form carefully and accurately.
• Candidates need to paste the recent passport size photograph, signature and other important documents on the duly filled-in application form.
• Send the duly filled in application along with all other documents at address “Associate Dean, Aptitude Testing, 2nd floor, Old OPD Block, Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences, Hyderabad – 500082” on or before the due date.
• Candidates have to pay Rs 700/ as required application fee through demand draft drawn in favour of the Director, Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences or via NIMS cash receipt as per scheduled date. The application fee will have to be submitted simultaneously along with the filled-in application.
• The applicant should write his/her name and the name of programme applied for on the back side of the Demand Draft/NIMS cash receipt.
• Applications received after the prescribed date and time will not be entertained.

Selection process

Selection of candidates will be done on the basis of total marks obtained in the qualifying examination i.e., Intermediate ( Bi.P.C.) or equivalent. Applicants will be ranked in the order of merit in the qualifying exam based on the aggregate marks. The merit list will be displayed at the official website of NIMS.

• Selected candidates will be called for counselling process.
• The counselling shall be conducted at the venue, date and time notified by the
  Institute.
• The candidates from SC/ST category whose parents/guardian income is less than
  Rs.1,00,000/- (Rupees one lakh only) per annum are exempted from paying non-refundable (tuition) fee at the time of admission.

Counseling Process

Selected applicants will have to report for counselling in person at the scheduled date and time along with required counselling fee of Rs.25, 000/- and should sign the attendance register within the specified time failing which candidates will not be allowed to attend counselling and loses the opportunity to admission and the seat will be offered to the next candidate in the merit list.
