NEET Counselling 2023: Schedule, Tips and Procedure

NEET Counselling 2023– National Eligibility Entrance Test is a common entrance test conducted for aspirants seeking admission to MBBS/BDS programmes offered by various medical institutions located across the country. NEET exam will be conducted two times a year.

The counselling process for NEET exam will be commenced by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) after releasing the exam result. Once the authority declares NEET result, candidates should make necessary preparation for appearing in the exam. NEET Counselling Schedule 2023

NEET Counselling Letter

Aspirants who have qualified for All India Quota seats on the basis of their NEET UG 2023 rank will be considered eligible for MCC Counselling. Such aspirants can download their NEET Rank letter/ Result from the official website of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

Important Documents Required for Counselling Process

Here is the list of documents candidates need to produce in original along with its attested photocopies at the allotted college for verification, failing to do so will cancel the candidature of that particular candidate.

  • NEET UG admit card  as issued by the Central Board of Secondary Education.
  • Date of Birth certificate (you can also put matriculation certificate).
  • The rank letter issued by Central Board of Secondary Education.
  • Matriculation certificate.
  • 10+2 mark sheet and certificate.
  • Two similar passport size photographs.
  • Category certificate, if applicable.

NEET Counselling Procedure 2023

Step 1- Online Registration

All qualified candidates need to register themselves online for the counselling process. Thereafter, they will be able to participate in the counselling process.

Step 2- Fill and Lock Your Choice Carefully

You can put your choice regarding colleges and courses as per your marks scored in the exam. After filling the choice it is also essential to lock them.

Step 3- College Allotment Notification

After a few days from completion of the choice filling process, candidates will receive a notification related to their allotted colleges. A college will be allotted to candidate according to his/her marks in NEET exam.

Step 4- Report to Your Allotted College

Candidates further need to report to the allotted college on scheduled date and time along with aforesaid documents. If you failed to report to your allotted college, the seat will be allotted to the next candidate. Selected candidates will have to undergo a medical test conducted at the Institute.

*If any document of a candidate is found wrong, he/she will be barred from next step of the selection procedure.

Counselling Fee

Candidates may have to pay a certain amount in order to participate in NEET counselling. Besides this, fee involved is also for taking admission to medical/dental colleges which is same as college fee including tuition fee and other components. Therefore, the fee that candidate have to pay after obtaining a seat will be the admission fee.
