MGIMS Wardha PMT

MGIMS PMT or formally known as Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences Pre Medical Test, Wardha is well known national level exam hosted by Kasturba Health Society for the candidates who wants to take admission in various health science courses such as MBBS and BDS in Government Medical Colleges beneath MGIMS Wardha. The admissions will be made only on the basis of merit acquired in the MBBS entrance exam. The major centers for MGIMS PMT 2018 entrance exam would be: Delhi, Allahabad, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Nagpur. According to Honorable Supreme Court decision released on 9th May, 2016, admission to MBBS/BDS programme will be done through NEET exam.

Required Eligibility Criteria

Interested candidates have to satisfy below conditions in order to appear for the exam:

  • Candidate must have completed 17years of their age and born before 31st December of the year of the exam.
  • The applicant should have qualified 12th level examination under the Maharashtra State Higher Secondary Education Board or correspondent examination of any recognized Board or any Indian University with Physics, English, Chemistry and Biology
  • The applicant must have acquired at least of 50% marks (40% for candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ NT/ VJ/ OBC) taken together in Chemistry, Physics, and Biology.

Exam Pattern and syllabus

The syllabus for the entrance exam includes: Biology, Physics, Chemistry topics from 11th and 12th standard and Gandhian thoughts. Questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology will be Objective type Multiple Choice questions. While, questions asked in Gandhian Thoughts will be in the form of Theory or Subjective. The exam is divided into 2 parts. First part contains 180 questions equally from Physics, Chemistry and Biology and second part is based on Gandhian thoughts.  The time duration for both papers will be 3 hours individually. There is no negative Marking in the exam.

How to apply 

There are two different ways to apply for the exam as follows:

First method: an applicant can made the payment of Rs 4000/ in cash in person at the cash counter account department in the premises of Administrative complex of MGIMS or KHS so as to receive application form (after the release of official notification).

Second Method: candidate can pick to pay a total of Rs 4000 at any branch of State Bank of India through challan which can be downloaded from the official portal i.e. www.mgims.ac.in

Admit Card

The exam admit card will be available from the first week of April, 2018. Exact dates will be updated soon after release of the official notification.

Result

The result is going to be announced at the end of May, 2018. Exact dates will be updated here very soon.

Selection Process

All admissions to MGIMS PMT are truly based on Merit list and personal interview. MGIMS does not have any paid seats and therefore candidates are advised not to try and contact any external agent or the institute authorities / Personnel for hunting admission.
