The authority will organize the JIPMER PG 2022 in two sessions namely January session and July session. JIPMER PG 2022 Eligibility Criteria

Read the basic eligibility for appearing in JIPMER PG entrance test 2022:

Nationality: An applicant must be Indian national or OCI. The NRI candidates will have to route their application through the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, New Delhi. NRI candidates will additionally have to take prior permission from the Medical Council of India before applying for the JIPMER PG exam.

Educational Qualification: Applicants must possess a valid MBBS Degree or its equivalent recognized by Medical Council of India.

Compulsory Internship: An applicant must have finished 12 months of compulsory rotatory Internship/Practical Training on or before 31st December 2021.

Minimum Marks Required: An applicant must have secured 55% aggregate marks (50% marks for SC/ST) in the qualifying examination (MBBS or its equivalent).

JIPMER PG 2022 Application form

The Application form for JIPMER 2022 will be available only via online mode by visiting the official website. Only those candidates can fill the application form who satisfy the eligibility criteria specified by the authority. Candidates will have to fill the particulars in the application form very carefully as no correction facility will be provided once the form is submitted successfully. Applicants will also need to pay a requisite amount of application fee to submit their applications successfully. Candidates also need to keep a scanned copy of the photographs and signature to upload the same while filling the application form. Candidates should keep a printout of the application form for further reference.

Exam Pattern

  • The entrance exam will be conducted in online mode only i.e. through Computer based test.
  • The duration of the exam is 3 Hours.
  • The paper will be conducted in English language only.
  • For each correct answer, a candidate will be awarded 4 marks while for each wrong response, 1 mark will be deducted.
  • There will be a total of 250 questions asked in the exam.

How to Prepare for the JIPMER PG 2022 Exam?

The level of the JIPMER PG exam will going to be tough but that shouldn’t deter a candidate from appearing in it. Candidates need to put extra efforts to crack the exam. With the right guidance and strategy, it will be a little easy for the candidates to clear the exam. However, candidates should note that there is no substitute for hard work. Admit Card

Candidates can download their admit card for JIPMER PG by visiting the official website. No other modes except the online mode will be entertained by the authority.The admit card will contain all the necessary details such as exam center, reporting time, applicant’s name etc. Candidates should note that they can’t request for correction in the admit card. The entry to the exam hall will be permitted to only those candidate who possesses the admit card for the exam along with a valid ID proof. Only Aadhar/ E-Aadhar with validated digital signature and Passport will be considered as id proof. However, candidates from Assam, Meghalaya, and J&K can bring any of these as ID proof-

  • Driving License
  • Any other valid Government identity Proof with a photograph
  • Bank Passbook with a photograph
  • Voter ID Card

JIPMER PG 2022 Result & Counselling

Candidates can check their result via online mode. The authority will publish a merit list based on the percentile score of the candidates. The merit list will also be published category-wise apart from the overall merit list. The shortlisted candidates will be called for the counselling process. No individual letters will be sent to the candidates pertaining to the counselling. Hence, candidates need to regularly visit the website for latest updates on the JIPMER PG 2020 Exam. Qualified candidates will have to report at the counselling center where their documents will undergo the verification process. The counseling will be carried out in many rounds. During the counselling, candidates can choose their discipline or opt out from the current session of the counselling to sit for next round.

Final Selection Process

On selecting a discipline in the counselling process, candidates will then go through a medical examination and biometric verification. Once the verification and medical checkup is finished, candidates will be issued the admission letter. On procuring the admission letter, candidates need to join the institute and pay the requisite fee mentioned in the selection letter.  Failing to join the institute within the given time will result in the cancellation of the candidate’s enrollment.
