The application form of JIPMER MBBS 2018 has been released now. JIPMER 2018 is an important Medical exam conducted by Jawaharlal Institute Postgraduate Medical Education & Research, Puducherry.  It is a National level entrance exam organized to offer admission in various MBBS course in 200 seats available in JIPMER Puducherry and JIPMER Karaikal campus. JIPMER 2018 is going to be held on 3rd June 2018 at various examination Centers by the Institute.  Candidates who wish to appear in JIPMER MBBS exam must fill the Online application form on or before the due date which is 13th April 2018.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants must be Indian Citizen.
  • Overseas/ NRI applicants are also eligible to apply.
  • Applicants must have completed the age of 17 years as on December 31st
  • Aspirants should have done 10+2 or equivalent examination with Chemistry, Physics, and Biotechnology/ Biology subjects.
  • Applicants must have obtained at least of 50% marks in PCB (40% in case of candidates from SC/ST categories)

JIPMER MBBS 2018 Application Form: How to apply?

The interested and eligible candidates can fill the JIPMER MBBS 2018 application form online through the official website of JIPMER from 7th March 2018. The final date to submit filled in JIPMER online form is 13th April 2018. Candidates must note that applications will be available in online mode only.

Once the online application process will be completed, applicants will not be allowed to make any changes in the form.

Application Fee

Candidates have to pay Rs 1000/- (for general category) and Rs 800/- (for the candidates from reserved category) as the necessary fee. The payment of JIPMER Application fee can be done through online mode only (Credit Card/Debit Card/ Net Banking/)


JIPMER 2018 Examination Pattern

  • The entrance test will be held in online mode (computer based test).
  • The exam will comprise of 200 multiple choice type questions.
  • Each correct answer will be rewarded with one mark
  • There is no negative marking.
  • The questions will be divided into the following sections
  • Chemistry – 60 questions
  • Physics – 60 questions
  • Biology – 60 questions
  • English and comprehension – 60 questions
  • Logic and Quantitative Reasoning – 60 questions

JIPMER 2018 Syllabus

The JIPMER syllabus 2018 will be based on the XI & XII levels. The questions in the paper will be asked from different topics such as chemistry, physics, Logic and Quantitative Reasoning, Biology and English and Comprehension.

Admit card- JIPMER MBBS 2018

JIPMER MBBS Admit Card 2018 will be available to download in the month of May, 2018. Candidates, who have submitted application form successfully can download their admit card of JIPMER 2018 through official website of conducting authority i.e. JIPMER. They need to enter their application number and password in order to download the JIPMER 2018 hall ticket. Candidates are needed to bring the admit cards to the exam center on JIPMER MBBS 2018 examination day. No applicant will be permitted to write the entrance exam without a valid JIPMER admit card.

Answer key

The answer key for JIPMER 2018 will be only published by the conducting authority i.e. Jawaharlal Institute Postgraduate Medical Education & Research, Puducherry after the successful completion of test.


JIPMER 2018 Result will be announced in the month of June 2018 (tentative) in online mode only. Candidates, who successfully appeared in the entrance test, can check their result through the official website of JIPMER. A merit list of candidates will be prepared on the basis of percentile and marks obtained in the entrance exam.


Selected candidates will be invited for counseling on the basis of their merit rank. JIPMER MBBS first counselling 2018 will be held on 27th – 29th June 2018. Candidates who will successfully qualify entrance exam as per the JIPMER MBBS cut off score will be eligible to appear in JIPMER counseling 2018. Candidates are needed to attend the counseling along with original documents as mentioned in the information booklet. The seats will be allotted on the basis of merit list based on performance of the students in the entrance examination.

  1. Is there any problem if the date is before january 30 and also the document is caste certificate not NCL,
    If there has problem we can correct it or not?
