GOA MBBS/BDS Admission 2021-2022

GOA MBBS/BDS Admission 2021: Candidates, who have completed the higher secondary education and want to make their career in the medical field, can apply for admission in the medical colleges of Goa to pursue the MBBS and BDS degree. Candidates will be offered the admission in the Goa Medical Colleges on the basis of the score they have attained in the NEET. The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) will release the official notification for the candidates to take part in the admission counselling on the basis of the NEET score.

Candidates will be required to fill in the application form which will be released on the official website of the DTE, Goa. The application forms will be released in the month of May 2021. Candidates can take admission in the private and public institutions on the basis of the NEET score. Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidate needs to be an Indian citizen.
  • Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) too will be eligible to apply for GOA MBBS/BDS Admission 2021.
  • Besides, candidates need to qualify the higher secondary education (12th) from a recognized board of secondary education.
  • Candidates need to be 17 years of age at least.
  • Candidates must have passed Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English separately in the higher secondary exam.
  • Candidates appearing in the Higher Secondary School Exam (12th) will also be eligible to apply for NEET.

How to apply?

  • The Goa MBBS Admission/Application form 2021 will be released by the Directorate of Technical Education online on the official website.
  • The Goa MBBS Admission/Application form 2021 will be released in the second last week of June 2021.
  • Candidates will be required to fill in all the details in the downloaded application form and submit the same duly filled application form along with all the required copies of certificates.
  • In addition, candidates will have to pay the application fee of Rs. 1500 as well through the demand draft.
  • The application form will be submitted to the Directorate of Technical Education, DTE Building, Alto-Porvorim Bardez, Goa – 403521.

Admission Process

  • The admission in the medical colleges of GOA will be based on the marks attained by the candidates in the NEET.
  • Candidates need to take part in the admission counselling after the release of the NEET result/merit.
  • Candidates belonging to the other state need to appear in the admission counselling conducted by the Directorate of General Health Services (DGHS) & Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).
  • Candidates will be allotted the medical college after the commencement of the admission counselling.
  • Candidates need to pay the admission fee after the allotment of the medical college in order to complete the admission process.

Details of the Entrance Exam

  • The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
  • The NEET is conducted by CBSE in the month of May every year.
  • CBSE releases the result of the exam in the month of June.
  • On the basis of the NEET score attained by the candidates in the NEET exam, merit list is made.

Documents to be submitted

Lastly, candidates will have to submit the documents at the time of counselling and admission into the allotted college.
