Preference for AIIMS Graduates

If the applicant has done the MBBS/BDS Degree from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, he/she will be preferred against the 50% of total MS/ MD/MDS seats under open general category. If any seat remains vacant out of the AIIMS privileged seats or any other reserved seats, it will be given to open general category candidate in the order of merit.

Tie Break for AIIMS PG Cutoff list

Tie-breaking is the process followed when the marks obtained by two or more than two candidates are equal. The following methods will be used to break the tie in AIIMS PG or to determine the inter-se-merit of candidates scoring equal marks.

The Candidate who obtained higher aggregate marks in all the MBBS/BDS Examination will be given preference.

Reservation of seats in AIIMS PG

49.5% of PG seats excluding those for Sponsored/Foreign National applicants are reserved for the candidates from SC/ST and OBC (Non-creamy layer).

  • General + sponsored/foreign national candidates – 25.25%
  • Candidates qualified MBBS from AIIMS – 25.25%
  • Scheduled Tribe Candidates – 7.5%
  • OBC Candidates – 27%
  • Scheduled caste Candidates – 15%
