The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) is an autonomous medical institution known for providing highly valued medical degrees and other distinctions. The AIIMS, New Delhi organizes AIIMS PG 2020 twice a year for admission into MD/MS/M.Ch (6 years)/DM (6 years)/MDS programs. The entrance examination is conducted in two sessions i.e. January and July. Candidates can apply for the entrance exam via online mode only.

AIIMS PG 2020 Application Form

Candidates can avail the application form for AIIMS PG 2020 through online mode only. The application form for January session will be available from the 1st week of September 2019, while for July session the same will be available from the 2nd week of March 2020. Candidates can fill the application form by visiting the official website of AIIMS i.e. aiimsexams.org. Aspirants first need to register themselves for the exam before filling the form.

For registration, they need to fill out the details asked in the registration window where they’ll need to furnish the details such as personal details, address details, contact details etc. On registering successfully, candidates will get a message on the screen illustrating the “candidate ID” and “Password”. The same information will be sent to the registered mobile/Email ID which a candidate needs to preserve for further use.

Using the login ID and Password, a candidate needs to log-in to fill the particulars of the AIIMS PG 2020 application form. Here, candidates will be asked to enter their educational qualification details following which they’ll move ahead for filling the choice of the city they would like to appear for the exam from. Here candidates will have to choose their choice of exam centre from the list shown on the screen. After choosing a city, applicants will be asked to make the payment for registration. Candidates need to pay the fee given below to proceed further-

The payment for the fee mentioned above can be made through Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking.

Once the fee payment is made, applicants need to upload the scanned photograph, Signature and Thumb impression in any of the given format- JPG/JPEG/GIF/PNG. At last, candidates need to print the complete AIIMS PG 2020 application form and keep a printout of it for further use.

AIIMS PG Syllabus 2020

AIIMS PG 2020 syllabus is exhaustive in nature and there is no particular curriculum prescribed for it by the AIIMS. However, candidates should bear in mind that whatever they have been taught during MBBS/BDS degree programme the questions will be asked from that. Hence, candidates must prepare for the exam strictly as per the curriculum of degree programme that they’ve done graduation into.

AIIMS PG 2020 Eligibility Criteria

In order to appear for the AIIMS PG entrance exam 2020, candidates must fulfill the eligibility criteria specified by the authority. Before filling the application form, candidates are advised to check their status of eligibility for the exam i.e. whether they are qualified to appear for the exam or not? To ensure that, candidates can go through the eligibility criteria given below –

Nationality: Indian/OCI/PIO/Foreign Nationals can apply for the examination.

Educational Qualification: Candidates seeking admission into MD/MS/DM/M.Ch course must possess MBBS degree and those seeking admission into MDS course must possess BDS degree from a recognized college/University.

Minimum Marks Required: A candidate should have obtained minimum 55% marks (50% for SC/ST candidates) in the above mentioned degree programmes.

Compulsory Internship: A candidate must have finished 12 months of rotating internship/practical training.

AIIMS PG Admit card 2020

AIIMS PG 2020 will be uploaded on the official website by the concerned authority. Applicants can download the same by visiting the official website of AIIMS. The admit card must be carried in the exam hall or else the entry will be denied to the candidate. Applicants will also need to bring one valid ID proof along with the hall ticket. If a candidate encounters a discrepancy in his/her admit card, he/she will need to contact the authority immediately.

AIIMS PG 2020 Result and Admission

The result for January session will probably be announced in the 3rd week of November 2019 and for July session, it will be announced in the 3rd week of May 2020. The result will be available on the official website. The AIIMS PG result for the year 2020 will be declared in form of a merit list. Candidates will be shortlisted for the counselling on the basis of the merit list. While preparing the merit list, a candidate’s percentile score will be taken into consideration. Candidates whose name appears on the list will be invited for counselling and document verification. Admission will be given to those candidates who fulfill the requirements necessary for the course opted by them.
