- For PG courses: The candidates with a relevant bachelor’s (or equivalent) degree in the relevant field of mass communication can apply for the PG courses.

List of the top Mass Communication Entrance Exams 2023
The Manipal University provides enrolment into its Media, Journalism, and Communication degree programme on the basis of Manipal Entrance Test. The admissions of the foreign national and NRI candidates are done on the basis of the marks obtained in the qualifying exam. The interested candidates can submit their application till the month of April.
The Symbiosis University conducts entrance test to screen candidates for admissions into mass communication courses. The enrolment is offered into the constituent school, Symbiosis Center for Media and Communication. The online application for the exam starts from the month of January and the exam is held in the month of May.
Indraprastha University Common Entrance Test (IPU CET)
The Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) organizes CET for enrolling the candidates into its MA Mass Communication degree course. The last date for submitting the application for the entrance exam will be in April and the exam will be conducted in the month of May.
WLCI All India Common Entrance Test (AICET)
Admissions into undergraduate and postgraduate media programmes are offered by the WLCI based on the performance of the applicants in AICET. The admission is provided into the Arunachal University for both Bachelors in Journalism and Master in Journalism courses. The interested candidates can apply for this exam in online mode from the month of November.
Asian College of Journalism (ACJ) Entrance Exam
The admissions into postgraduate diploma courses in the field of Journalism and Business and Financial Journalism are offered by the Asian College of Journalism. For this purpose, an entrance exam is conducted most probably in the month of May. The application for the exam can be submitted in online as well as offline mode.
Film and Television Institute of India Joint Entrance Test (FTII JET)
A Joint Entrance Test (JET) is conducted by the FTII for selecting the candidates for admissions into its various TV and Film programmes. Final selection of the applicants is done on the basis of performance in the entrance test followed by an interview. Those candidates who wish to get enrolled into this institute and fulfill all the required eligibility criteria can submit their application.
Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) Entrance Exam
The IIMC offers the selected candidates admissions into diploma and post graduate diploma courses. For post graduate diploma courses, the applicants will have to clear an entrance test conducted in the month of May. For diploma courses, the candidates will have to apply for admissions through ITEC (Indian Technical & Economic Cooperation programme).
Xavier Institute of Communications Online Entrance Test (XIC OET)
The Xavier Institute of Communications organizes entrance test for enrolment of the candidates into its mass communication courses. Those with an interest in pursuing their degree from this institute can submit their application online. The entrance test is also conducted in online mode and is followed by a ‘Skype video interview’ (except for Mumbai and Delhi center where live interview is held).
