Maharashtra B.Sc. Nursing 2024 CET is most likely to be conducted in June 2024. Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell is the authority that manages admission to B.Sc. Nursing Course in the state of Maharashtra. You should note that the cell will not conduct any entrance test.

Maharashtra B.Sc. Nursing Eligibility Criteria

Those candidates who want to apply need to make sure that they meet the following eligibility criteria.

Nativity

  • Only Indian Citizens are eligible to apply
  • Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) Candidate will be eligible for Government/ Corporation/ Government Aided/ Private unaided college for academic year 2024-25 only. Provided such candidate have passed 10th& 12th from the State of Maharashtra and should be a domicile of Maharashtra or staying in the state of Maharashtra for a minimum period of 10 years.
  • NRI candidates will be eligible for institutional quota seats only.

Age Limit

  • The candidate must be born on or before 31st December 2006 to be eligible for B.Sc. Nursing.

Educational Qualification

  • The candidate must have passed the qualifying examination i.e. Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC/12th Standard) or equivalent examination from a recognized school.
  • A candidate should have passed in the subjects of PCB and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks taken together in PCB at the qualifyiong examination i.e. (10 + 2).
  • Candidates belonging to SC / ST or other backward classes need only 40% marks.

The application form for Maharashtra B.Sc. Nursing admission will release in online mode only. Those who want to apply need to submit the application form through the official website i.e. www.mahacet.org. The complete process of Maharashtra B.Sc. Nursing application form submission is given below.

  • First of all, you need to visit the official website of the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test Cell i.e. https://cetcell.mahacet.org/.
  • On the official website, you will have to register by providing a few of your basic details like name, phone number, email address, etc.
  • Once registered, you can log in using the registration number and password generated at the time of registration.
  • In the next step, you will have to provide your complete educational, personal, and contact details. While filling the application form, you will have to enter the.
  • Along with the details, you need to upload scanned images of the following documents.
    • Any Photo ID proof (Aadhar Card/ Driving License, PAN Card, Pass port)
    • Nationality Certificate issued by District Magistrate/ Addl. District Magistrate or Metropolitan Magistrate (Competent Authority for issue of such certificate)/ valid Indian Passport or School Leaving Certificate of HSC/ 12th Std. indicating the nationality of the candidate as ‘Indian’.
    • Domicile Certificate issued by District Magistrate/  Metropolitan Magistrate/ Addl. District Magistrate or Competent Authority for issue of such certificate.
    • SSC i.e. 10th Standard or equivalent examination certificate, school leaving certificate or Birth certificate indicating name of the candidate (for DOB).
    • HSC i.e. 12th Standard or equivalent examination Statement of Marks
    • Medical fitness certificate

    • Orphan Certificate

  • In the next step, candidates will have to pay the required application fee online.
  • Finally, take a printout of the application form submitted for future references.

Application Fee

The application fee for Maharashtra B.Sc. Nursing is Rs. 1000/-. Candidates need to pay the application fee online using a credit card, debit card, internet banking.

Maharashtra B.Sc. Nursing Selection Process

  • The admission to B.Sc. Nursing course in the state of Maharashtra will be based on  MH B.Sc Nursing CET.
  • In the application form (preference form), candidates also need to provide the preference of colleges in which they want to study.
  • The admission authority will follow the reservation policy of the Maharashtra government at the time of preparing the merit list.

Result and Merit List

  • Once the application form submission process gets over, authorities will publish the result/ merit list on the official website.
  • At first, authorities will release the provisional merit list. Candidates will get an opportunity to challenge the provisional merit list.
  • After considering all the challenges, the cell will release the final merit list.
  • Please note that it is not possible to challenge the final merit list.

  • During the counselling process, all formalities of the admission process will take place.
  •  The seats are going to be allotted on the basis of merit and choice of colleges filled by candidates in the preference form.
  • The verification of documents will also take place during counselling. The admission is confirmed only after the verification of documents.
